Why Glock?

Certainly your opinion. I find the Colt bros more annoying.

I also find the blatant Glock Haters more annoying as well

Tho colt guys are in the same as glock and HK guys. but really sets me off is the glock guys claim the glock is the best handgun ever made. and replace every part but the frame. You do not see colt or HK guys doing this. thats why i see the glock boys are slightly more annoying then the others.

And you guys talk about "Glock boy's" being fanatics. Look at yourselves, the anti-Glock people are fanatical in their own right. I'm a Glock guy; just like I'm a CZ guy, or a Ruger guy and posted it as some levity, but you'll didn't pass up on some contempt for Glock users.

Love them or hate them, Glocks will be around for a long time, I choose to be an equal opportunity gun owner.

I am also a glock, cz, colt, S&W ,sig, HK, and walther guy. They all have there unique features. And my main carry gun is a glock. I just cant get over the fan boy mindset where everything else id trash and will get you killed when it fails.

Good point

Yeah. I have all Glocks in my polymer section of my cabinet but only because I started shooting them before the 320, VP9, CZ P10 or APX came out. Had I started with one of those I'd probably only have those. I like them all, but not enough to replace the Glocks I have mags and holsters for already.

In particular the APX calls to me, but ultimately I shoot them the same and can't justify the cost of purchase and I've been slimming down my collection.

I have not shot or even handled the APX yet, Waiting for a Local place to have one so i can handle it. Same with the fns. I just do not see those alot.

Going for $260ish right now with rebate.. Can't lose by buying one sight unseen... I doubt you'll be disappointed...

Never seen Colt fanboys trolling on non dedicated sites similar to this forum... I have seen 1911 fanboys do it here and there..

Colt Smith and HK here..............but no Glocks.

Hunting bud has a couple Glocks (as do many of my shooting buds).
His the 23C, were out checking zero before deer season...........he brought it along.
WW Whitebox..............said "here...........it's no target gun".

BS!

Thing shot great at 25 and 50 yards. I shot it slow, not used to it but DANG!
I just shook my head, handed it back empty and said "no wonder they sell so many of these things".

Think he was a bit miffed I shot it so well. :)

For the price. might just buy anyway.
Just picked mine up last week. No hate, but I like it more than Glock, my M&P 2.0, CZ P10, and my XD Mod 2s... Never handled a HK or Walther (outside of my PPS M2), so I can't compare... My two favorite polymer handguns are my APX and CZ P01.

I don't think people have problems with Glock or people liking them. IMHO the biggest problem a lot of people have with Glock is the attitudes of some Glock owners... That's were most 8f the hate and distain stems from...

Some act like Glock is better and everything else is interior. They have a holier than thou attitude. Also, to be fair, it's been my experience that Glock owners, more so than most other fanboy group, tend to be a little more sensitive to anyone who is critical of Glocks... Goes both ways...

Yes.

We firearms peoples are without a doubt the most brand loyal consumers on the planet.

Not that I'm the center of all things gun related but I do shoot in a lot of matches and thus shoot with and talk to a lot of active high volume shooters. Just my personal observation but those that do a lot of shooting don't really act like salesmen for their preferred firearms manufacturer. It is the newish or inexperienced shooters that have a lot of logo accessories from what I see.

There are hardcore Ruger fans, S&W fans, Glock fans and so forth. Personally I don't care what gun or reloading press someone owns but I think if I were to rate the fanboys in order of highly obnoxious to simply obnoxious the high award would go to Sig owners and the runner up would be Walthers.

LOL... Maybe in the past, but Sig fanboys have been humbled as of late.

I plan on carrying it in the future, so I went with the Compact (13 round mags). Then I purchased a couple of grip sleeves and 15 round mags. With the sleeve and 15 round mag, the Compact is basically a Centurion. You could also buy a Centurion, and buy the $50 Compact grip frame and mags. Whatever you choose, you always have options to switch things around for cheap.

I'll probably will end up buying a fullsize frame and slide as well for IDPA.

Oh yeah Ad Hominem
"If you don't like Glocks you're just ignorant"
Now , this is your classic anti Glock attack. You take my comment ("Most often you will find that the people that don't like Glocks have never owned one or have had limited contact with them.")
Where did you find me attacking a person's character rather than the logic or content of an argument. I just pointed out a fact. I did not say that all people that don't like Glocks, just most. Just ask those that you know that don't like Glocks if they own one, or how much trigger time they have with a Glock, or how many different Glocks they have fired. You will find that my statement is true.
Aw hell, I'll ask you. Do you own or have ever owned a Glock? How many different models of Glocks have you ever fired?
You will be one of those that found that Glocks are just not your thing, or you found another gun that you liked better. But you are one of the ones that feels compelled to complain about others liking Glocks.

I can say when I first started shooting I was a Glock hater. I had shot one, once and felt that allowed me to disparage them in debate ("grip angle" hoax).

Then I kinda fell into a trade for a Gen 4 21 and decided to give it a shot. Wouldn't ya know it once I gave it time I found that Glocks a) point very naturally and b) have a great trigger once you get used to how it works.

I still prefer 1911s or other SAO options, like my Sig Legion, but Glocks sure do work after I gave them an honest shot.

Wish I could say the same with DA/SA triggers and the hinged M&P trigger. I've given both months of range time and thousands of rounds, just not there for me.

Ever shoot a M&P 2.0 with an Apex trigger?

So if I'm not allowed the opinion that somehow Glock's use of Browning's tilt barrel short recoil locking system isn't somehow a more reliable design than everyone else's use of that design. Or disputes the 65% market share claim.
And I'm the liberal?
Sorry if I was not clear. My point was A reference to the folks who seem to get emotionally attached against Glock (the company or its fans) because of their enthusiastic ranting.

Who should care what others think about a gun? I don’t. I like most all guns to some degree, unless it’s clearly a flawed design or cheap junk. Doesn’t mean I want to own them. But even then, I don’t GAF if someone raves about their gun, be it a “less desirable” brand or model. If they enjoy it, more power to them!

Gun owners, as a whole, really need to be more positive and inclusive of other people’s firearms choices. The anti-gun crowd pretty much hates them all. I propose we take the opposite approach and support them all!

The sad part is it probably would sell...

It would, the glock boys would buy up any thing glock branded. Relabel any gun lube to "glock" and triple the price. and they will buy it by the case.

And y’all are emotionally attached and sad about Glock (or any other firearms related company) selling products to willing consumers because why....?????

I hear ya, but there are clowns everywhere. No need to get bunched panties over knuckleheads.

FYI, and full disclosure, it took me a lot of years before I was smart enough to learn this lesson myself! LOL!

not emotional and sad about, i think it is funny. Really funny.

Not sure why the quote did not insert, but was response to post #272
