Since it's like NIB my fear is every time you rack the slide you're taking $10 bucks off the appraised value. Besides, there are many, many more choices in shooting a better gun at 1/3 the price.
PS: I was never a pump action guy. I just couldn't pass this one up!

I'm not a gun trader. I'd take it to the field. For certain. Beautiful piece of work that was built to be used as well as admired. You're fortunate to have it.

Pump shotguns were the hot set up for skeet in the 1930s and 1940s. A skeet grade pump from the twilight of the pump gun’s dominance of skeet would be great to have.

I’d shoot a bit on the skeet field but avoid taking it out where it could get dinged more easily.

Enjoy your new shotgun.

I would have been happier if were a Trap Gun. I can't imagine shooting skeet with a pump action!

X2 on a trap gun, although I don't want a pump for doubles, either.

I shoot skeet with a lot of guys that use pumps. I saw at least one model 12 on the range yesterday.

I broke a 22 and a 24 today with my 20 gauge 870, kind of an off day for me actually, and then turned around and shot the same 22 and 24 on trap with my M12.

Only shot about a dozen rounds of clay birds this year and I think I took the pump guns for all of them so far. Last time I used the 1897 with the poly choke on skeet and ran a 50 with it. Don't think I have had my Beretta O/U out of it's case this year.

It's truly a beautiful gun, never cared for model 12s, fixed a few with the so called short trigger problem. They were the hot ticket for quite a while with trap guys.
