I had one of the early Keltec P32 guns I bought in 2005. I bought a 10 round mag and a belt clip for it. Back then the reason to own the 32 over the 380 version was that the 380 was easier to rack. I tried them both and the 32 was definitely easier to pull the slide on. I wish I still had it. The only reason I sold it was because I didn't like the silver slide and black frame. I wish I would have just dusted the slide with some black paint and kept the gun. Now the only 32 auto I have is a Walther/Manhurin PP made in 1957. What a great 32 it is too.

I have a new one on my watch list for $179. But I just bought a slightly used Taurus TCP that I hope to go shoot tomorrow and maybe that will scratch my new itch for another mouse gun.
 
I have a P380. The first one was an absolute piece of crap. FTF/FTE/slide would not lock back on last round/lightstrikes....(many hundreds of rounds fired down rage to "break-in" with several brands of factory and selection of handloads). The factory verified on its second trip back and replaced it. Thank you, Kahr.... Better, but not really... after a few hundred rounds testing a wide variety of factory defense ammo in an effort to find the best, it reliably FTF and slide won't lock back (I've changed the curly spring twice). I really want it to work for EDC use - great sights, smooth trigger, match bbl, light & compact pocket carry...pocket holster, multiple spare magazines purchased.....

Ive seen reports of flawless reliability w the P380. I struggle to believe such reviews. Suggestions welcome.
 
I just went to Academy and looked at the Taurus Spectrum one more time. Its a nice gun for the $159 price I posted above from Bud's. Then I looked at a Kel-Tet 380. It was nice but didn't speak to me. I almost left and then spotted the Ruger LCP II 380 and asked to look at it. What a nice solid feeling gun. This may be what I am looking for. Just a little bigger than the TCP in my pocket now or the Kel-Tec that seems to be about the same size as the TCP.

I may have found my next new gun. Now I just have to find a deal on one.:D

I wish Taurus would offer the TCP in 32acp. If they did I wouldn't even consider a Kel-Tec P32. They already have the design and all that should be needed is a new mag and softer springs, a proper size barrel and slight mod to the bolt face. No need for a new design. But I know its just a dream.
 
I've got a .22LR NAA revolver that's nice deep carry along with a Seecamp .32 that's of similar size. The biggest I have that I think of as mouse sized is a LCP Custom. I like all of them for their purpose.
 
I've been pocket carrying a Ruger LC9S Pro for the last couple months. I'm reasonably accurate with it.

I picked up my 1st ever .380 last week - a Ruger LCP.
Took it out and shot at my 25yd gong - missed. All my shots were going low.

Going to have to move closer and see where it's hitting.

As far as mouse guns that I've carried...

The P32 is fine. Mine has never malfunctioned. I'm just not so sure about 32acp.

My P3AT was fine. It gave me no problems. It was just a P32 in 380acp with nub sights instead of a "trough". However, my FiL needed a pocket pistol and was going to hem and haw forever before he finally picked one. I owed him $100 for loading supplies, and he gladly accepted the P3AT instead of the cash.

Through a strange series of events, I managed to pick up another P3AT, a Pico, and an LCPII all within the space of a month, and all for dirt cheap. I took them all to the range and shot them back-to-back-to-back. The LCPII had the next-to-best sights (after the Pico) and EASILY the best trigger. So now it is my favored mouse gun.

In the summer I carry an LCR in the big pocket of my cargo shorts. The rest of the time I normally carry the LCPII in the breast pocket of a flannel shirt, or something like that. It's performed perfectly and I like the trigger a lot.

And that is why my P32 is my everything gun. I always have it with me, even if I leave my primary at home. And I have no more worries about .32ACP than I would with .380, since some have kept fighting after multiple shots from even a .45, which is my primary.
 
I now keep the P3AT on my person most of the time in hot weather. It is just easier to deal with wearing less clothing.

I think the problem with a Tomcat is finding one reasonably priced these days. I agree they are around but I am not willing to pay so much presently. YMMV
 
I would (will) not bet my life on less than 9mm.
From your list, Kahr CM9.
I'd be content with a CM9 in weak hand front pocket as a 2nd option to a larger pistol IWB.
 
I have about 400 rounds through my kel tec p32, ive had 4 malfunctions but they were all with in the first 150 rounds. Have yet to have a malfunction with my 10 round mag. Also 3 of the 4 malfunctions were from the 100-150 round mark. So if you keep it clean it should have mo problems

I see sweat is the key question, which some people seem to be missing. An antique Savage? One has to be insane to get that one in contact with sweat! At least nobody proposed Remington 51. Here's the deal: you ruin one of those -- you're never getting it back. But ruin a P-3AT -- nobody cares! It's a current production gun, and Kel-Tec offers any part on their website. That's why I think you need either CW380 or P-3AT. Some people have a sweat that can eat through a finish of a Glock 42. I usually starts rusting on the inside of the slide, and there's basically nothing you can do but clean and oil the gun more.

They did for a while. It was designated the PT732 (the .380 version of the TCP is the PT738.) Unlike Kel-Tec, though, the .32 Taurus holds the same number of rounds as its .380-chambered brother; you don't get an "extra" like you do with the P32. I've never shot one. I bet it would be a nice little shooter. I own both the P32 and the PT738.
