because of reasons ( bad wrist and way too hot to cast being some of them) I am currently unable to cast my usual 125 grn .359 lead bullets for my 38 rifle. I need a source for about a thousand or so. I don't actually care if if they are plated or coated or lead with a lube groove. I poked around today and it looks like plated are just more expensive, so they're probably out, though they are pretty (I know rmr gives a code out, but still, spendy).

I found decent deals on chey-cast hi-tek coated bullets, thebluebullets, and codes for blackbulletsinternational (no 125 grn sadly) and summersenterprises.

anybody have any recommendations for a good low cost blasting bullet? especially if I could find one sized .359 or .360 instead of .358

SNS Casting, Missouri Bullet, Acme, Bayou Bullets and Eggleston Munitions all come immediately to mind and there's plenty of other decent options I didn't think to list.

Missouri Bullet at least used to offer custom sizes if you ordered enough. Not sure if they still do but it can't hurt to look.

They still do, I believe.

Can I request special sizing or can I change the type of alloy I want used?
In most cases, yes. Give us a call to place your special order

missouri bullets has 38 s&w bullets, but they are sized to .361". .001" should not be a big concern going down the tube if they will chamber.

Montana Gold JHP. You have to buy a case for the best price. The last time I bought a case, the 125gr were about 10 cents each.

I am very pleased with plated bullets from RMR. I prefer the plated hollowpoints. I've also been satisfied the Berry's plated hollowpoints from Midway. I don't know how they would perform in a rifle though.
