Standard hypocrisy

When you own one, it’s a fully automatic assault rifle.

When the government owns one, it’s a semi-automatic rifle.

At least it’s clear their verbiage doesn’t stem from ignorance.

Well you know it's dangerous when it has a 'barrel shroud' ... you know ... 'a shoulder thing that goes up' ... :what:

'Never, in your rambling, incoherent response were you ever close to ANYTHING that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in the room is now dumber for having listened to it':rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

"The firearm was a Colt M-4 semi-automatic rifle with a magazine loaded with .45 caliber ammunition."

o_O

SO, if it was me, being the kind, helpful and pitying soul I am, I would suggest that there was a special secret means of loading the .45 ammo into the M4 and this technique is being kept TOP-SECRET by JSOC, the NAVY Seals and Delta Force so as to not tip off our enemies.

These rounds are extra powerful since they are pistol rounds fired in a rifle. Just multiply the short 4" ish pistol barrel by the 16 inch-ish barrel in the M4 (hey, they don't know) and you can see the 45 ammo will shoot out 4x as fast. So if the usuall 5.65 ammo leaves the muzzle at 2500 fps, then the 45 ACP ammo will leave a 10,000 fps and have the energy of a 30 mm cannon.

Since this is a TOP-SECRET military project, you CANNOT DUPLICATE THESE RESULTS AT HOME ...

Someone recently posted a scientific curve of people that don’t know anything about what they are talking about but have the utmost confidence, to the point it’s at the level of folks that actually know what they are talking about.

It’s only the people in the middle of the curve that realize they don’t have the knowledge they thought they did.

I was surprised this was an actual scientific study, I always figured it was just called being a teenager.

I know your having fun with it, but it's not that hard to interpret what they meant to write.

I believe the article is written accurately with respect to the items stolen, " several items including a semi-automatic rifle, a magazine and jacket with official FBI markings stolen from an agent’s car."

If you take that list of items to be accurate, which I believe it is, then the article reads, "The firearm was a Colt M-4 semi-automatic rifle with a magazine loaded with .45 caliber ammunition. The jacket was an official FBI raid jacket." Ok, obviously there is an error here. The report is not of an M-4 with a magazine, but a Colt M-4 along with a magazine for a .45 that was a separate item. Perhaps someone more familiar with a Colt M-4 would have made the statement more clear, but grammatically speaking, the only thing missing is a comma. It could have been written accurately as, "The firearm was a Colt M-4 semi-automatic rifle, with a magazine loaded with .45 caliber ammunition. The jacket was an official FBI raid jacket." It would have been better to make it even more clear the magazine was not related to M-4, but then we wouldn't have anything to laugh about.

On the other hand, the M-4 could have a .450 Bushmaster or .458 SOCOM upper and then it very well could have been the M-4's magazine that was loaded with .45 caliber ammunition, but I do not think the magazine would have been listed as a separate item unless it was indeed not related to the rifle.

Articles like this are not going to win or lose the gun argument. This is trivial. We are dealing with a much deeper cultural conflict. Pointing out media inaccuracies isn't going to get us anywhere.
