New AR load.

I finally got around to testing the 70RDF bullets and got 3" plus groups. So I started scrounging around my bench and found a bag of 40gr hollow points and a pound of IMR 3031.
Surprisingly a case full gives me just over 3500 fps and makes it to the paper. POI is same as my 55sp load at 100.

I love 3031 in the 223, but that right there is a whole lot of powder. what'd it weigh in at?

27.0 in LC cases 26.8 in GFI or PPU.

I expected the jacket to give up. It's only made to hold up to the 218 bee. It was actually listed in my Speer manual.

I have that listed in my Speer#10.... but it's over max in any of my others.

and that #10 has some crazy loads in it. I made a warning label and put it on the cover, so whomever inherits my stuff knows not to use it as a sole reference.

well thats cool too, I like to run them on the warm side myself

That's my do not exceed manual. It has the highest charge weight with the lowest expected velocity.
