Same for Amazon.

The Partner press was my first press, and I still use it sometimes. I loaded Benchrest rounds with it at matches for a long time before I bought a smaller, easier to transport, custom press that I would C clamp to the table I would bring with me to load off of.

Lee Challenger with Breech Lock is typically cheaper than the regular priced Partner and you get the quick change Breech Lock. Challenger looks beefer than Partner also. This would be a good price, don't know if a permanent price drop because of the competition from Challenger or a promotion, RCBS' Life Time Warranty and customer service make it tempting while I have a Challenger already. I like my Challenger, which is portable, but Lee Press does not cam over and from time to time I missed a brass not fully sized and need to watch the lever position to make sure die closed completely, RCBS' press cam over, just want a slight cam over for a positive indication if the die is fully closed!

So I got my Partner Press today. Got it installed. I like the press so far but I have a couple of complaints for anyone getting one. First, the instructions for assembling the priming arm system are horrible. You actually have to hammer something into the press. Second complaint is the spent primer collection system. I can’t believe a company like RCBS would actually put their name on a product like that. A plastic part that clips onto the press with very little force. I can’t believe that’s the best idea their engineering department could come up with.

I'm confused......2 complaints. 1: it's so hard to install you need a hammer; 2: a part that installs with too little force. That's tongue in cheek.....but you asked for it .;)

But seriously, they created that product to get a little market at the Lee low-end. It does load ammo, but I'd rather have something that weighs a little more, if I could afford it that is. Otherwise, it works for a starter press, and later as a seater, deprimer.

RCBS has never been the best with instruction manuals...otherwise their customer service is legendary.
