It came in yesterday morning (7-19) and I took it to the range last evening.

Good feel, good ergos. Trigger in DA very heavy. Single action not bad, but still too heavy for my taste. Hopefully it will smooth out with use.

I ran 150 rounds through of 124 grain NATO without a single hiccup.
Sights were easy to pick up (night sights)
Magazines easy to seat and drop free when released. ( some, but not all, of my SIG P226 magazines worked well in this weapon.)

All shooting was done standing off-hand (two handed) on standard FBI "Q" targets at 7,15 and 25 yards. Rapid fire at 7 and 15, slow fire at 25.

All 150 rounds were kept well inside COM on the "Q" target.

Afterwards, a magazine was loaded with SD ammo, Winchester Ranger "T" 147 grain +P+ (RA9T) This magazine was fired at 7 yards, from a rested position, slow fire. All fifteen rounds tore a single hole about 1 1/2 inches.

This is my first CZ, but God willing, it won't be the last.:):) This one is a keeper.:):)

Good to hear your first range trip with your new CZ P07 went so well! Sounds like the accuracy potential is definitely there, maybe even more so once the trigger smooths out a bit. The one thing that impressed me with the P07 the first time I picked it up was the overall fit and feel of the gun in my hand. The ergos were right on and I liked how the gun had such a solid heft to it; more so than any other polymer framed gun I have ever looked at.

I tried three of my SIG P229 mags in my P07 and all of them worked but it was a pretty snug fit. At least some of your P226 mags were reliable (enough for range duty), and could be considered good to go.

Good gun. Agree on the trigger, ultimately I didn't like the DA/SA system and the safety was too small for cocked and locked (for me).

Still, very good gun.

Somewhere down the line, I will probably have my gunsmith install a Cajun Gun Works trigger kit. If that cleans up the DA, she will be good to go. If not, I will have the "cocked & locked" safety installed.

I'm already thinking about saving my shekels for a full size CZ75!:)

I am becoming a CZ fan. Already have a CZ P07 and Southpaw over under shotgun. Just bought CZ 75 SP-01. I really like the feel and balance of CZ pistols. My experience so far is they are high quality, high accuracy, and very reliable. IMO, they are in the same class as Kimber and Sig which I also have. I have almost completely gone to hammer fired pistols. Just my preference.

Yup, the CZ P-07 is excellent. It's my truck gun, and gotta say that she doesn't get enough range time. It's the first gen and the SA trigger is like butter. I like my P-09 even more as it's a 40S&W. Mags tend to be pricey for these two.

CZ makes awesome rimfire rifles, too!

I tried the Gen. 1 P07 but didn't care for how much flex there was with the polymer frame and for how sharp some of the edges and the checkering were. Fast forward quite a few years and the new and improved Gen. 2 is out with a much more solid feel to it along with better checkering and interchangeable back straps. Feels like a whole new gun to me so I picked one up last year. Love the ergonomics on this gun and the fact that the trigger is so great! I also like that I can change the decocker out for a thumb safety so that I can carry it in Condition 1.
