Update...
The Odinworks adjustable buffer finally came in and I have tried it at the low end setting and thus jumping from the original 2.9 oz to 3.7 oz. That was just perfect to balance the overgas. I am now ejecting at 3:00 - 4:30.
The failure to feed continues to improve. The last two outings (second one with the new buffer) had zero failures. I have also gotten all the tools and supplies to reload .223 so my last test included both factory and hand rolled. All were very good. Since I am just starting to load for this it included starting rounds (55&62gr) as slow as 1100 fps over the chronograph. I don't have full chrony results since I forgot the diffusers and it was a blue sky; so I got a good number of "err1", but did get enough valid results to do some more loading and testing.
Again, a big thank you to all. I am glad to have learned what I have about the AR-15 / 5.56.
