I just inherited a Colt Woodsman, 1st Series. According to Bob Rayburn’s Colt Woodsman web page, this firearm requires what Bob refers to as a Type B magazine. Does anybody know where I can buy more magazines for this gun? Does anybody make new magazines so I don’t have to monitor Gunbroker or some other web page?

Thanks for the tip. Yeah, I saw some original Woodsman magazines. The price was so high I was hoping to find some new high quality aftermarket ones.
Maybe I should turn this into a safe queen, but I sure do get fun memories every time I pull this trigger. I was the only guy on the firing line yesterday with tears of good memories in my eyes. 200 rounds and not one hiccup. I had a talk with my 22 Ruger when I got back home. This Woodsman is a gem.

I've been a fan of the Woodsman since I was in the 10th grade. Would stare at the Match Targets in the display case in Dillards at McCain Mall.
I bought my first, a used Huntsman in 1976. Still have it and its as accurate as the Match Targets I started collecting fifteen years ago.
I enjoy shooting my .22's with a silencer so much that I figure that Colt deserves a rest.

I just ordered one of the replicas from Triple-K. I paid $38.00 from Brownells. We'll see how it shoots when it comes in.
