"I have 3 120/1200/1300s and I wouldn't buy that one at that price with that barrel. They work fine and are fast despite what naysayers who haven't owned one often think. The mag throat piece that the magazine threads into and then seats into the aluminum receiver is plastic, and the trigger group housing is plastic, which is what sets the reactionaries off. "
I am a proud reactionary, but that has nothing to do with my opinion of the 120/1200. I am a retired gunsmith. Worked on a bunch of these back in the 70s/80s/90s when parts were still available. Totally unacceptable to me for a pump gun.
A buddy worked at the local Winchester shooting range. They rented guns for like 25 or 50 cents a round. When a 1200 or a 1400 would mess up, they would wrap it in brown paper and stick it in a 55 gallon drum with a clip on lid. some barrel up, some barrel down. When the drum got full they would ship it to Winchester. Those drums went out frighteningly quickly. They had one model 12 if I remember right, and several 101s.. He said they never had to ship one of those out.
