Herter's .22 Target ammunition

I have posted in this section as it is the best fit.

Is this ammunition standard or high velocity? Nowhere in the box is this indicated. I would assume it is high velocity...but never assume anything. 20190723_050642.jpg
 
Lots of folks would call that “standard velocity” 22 LR. If you wanted to charge more for it though you would label it “subsonic” but “target” isn’t bad if your audience is older and less tacticool.
 
I guess a 36 gr. bullet at 1085 fps is considered subsonic, but all the subsonic ammo I tried was 40 gr. about 950 fps. The Herters is definitely not "hyper velocity" but closer to "standard velocity". Regardless, it'll shoot just fine as I have not heard anything bad about the Cabelas/Herters ammo...

Okay good. So okay for a pre 1930 Smith & Wesson revolver? It appears to be this is the case.
