Will Ruger incorporate any of the American rifle design features in the Mini 14?

Mate had a mini-14 in .223 for deers. Like this

I didn't shoot it much, never took it apart, but nothing on it jumped out at me as unacceptable. Lightweight and accurate enough.

AFAIK it had a Weaver Rail. Threading a barrel is pretty trivial and I wouldn't NOT buy a factory rifle because it wasn't threaded. Plus you play the barrel lottery, and it may not even be worth threading.

As to swap-a-stocks... there's plenty of aftermarket parts. Manufacturers have to design their products for "the average". Whoever gets closest to "the average" gets the sales. If you're either side of average then it'll be slightly off, but useable.
If you're too far off average then you need custom. Companies don't exist just for you.

Im sure they are only keeping it in production as a hedge against AR bans. Indeed, Im surprised they havent introduced a fixed-magazine version that top loads via stripper (or en-bloc :D) clip.

Such a rifle would be so featureless as to avoid anything short of a complete prohibition on self-loading rifles. Block off the gas port, and you could even easily turn it into a manually operated repeater.:(

The idea of a mini 14 with en-blocs seems awesome to me! Not sure why, but it does.

I know you are trying to describe a completely undesirable rifle but a .223 sks equivalent with reasonable accuracy, some modern niceties at a ~$500 price point would be just fine with me.

I mean it only exists in fantasy land and I'm probably the only possible buyer for it but still I would love that rifle.
