Seems like the trigger would be a pretty easy fix if you like the pistol over all. While replacing the trigger lightened it up a pound, he was able to improve the stock trigger's gritty feel very easily and no cost.
I need a 9mm suppressor host gun. Which do you prefer?

I've got a Glock 43 and a witness elite match with the bomar supersight. Don't really want tiny pistol with a huge can, and the only way to get the match threaded is to buy a new 6" barrel from eaa for $200+ and have machivshooter thread it. But then I still don't have tall sights, which I want, and are not available. Long story short, no.
Good to know the 509 trigger can be cleaned up, but it's a little expensive and I didn't like it in the handle any better than any of the cz's.
I found out a buddy of mine has an sp-01 and a p-07&09 threaded I can try my can on. So at least I can compare amongst 2 hosts. There is a limit on how hot I can make my handloads, because I need to keep them subsonic in the 7.5" ar. The load is set, I need to tailor the gun to the load because the load is already tailored to another gun.

Found a used Beretta m9a3 today for $600. I didnt buy it, but it was certainly less offensive than I remember the old Berettas being. Fit my hand a little bit better, and the trigger was better too. It just looks like there would be a ton of blowback coming back at you because of the huge ejection port.

If you use "three dot" or three dot night sights, or anything you can see to get a sight picture behind the suppressor, you can still shoot very well without seeing over it. I find the three dots work the best, as they give you both horizontal and vertical alignment.
It works on the same principle as the old OEG type red dots. Your strong eye sees the sights, and your weak eye the target, and your brain does the rest.
This was shot at around 10 yards doing just that.

I'm cross eye dominant, sadly, both eyes open doesn't work for me. Sheesh, I'm just one long litany of issues.

The above shouldnt be a problem with a handgun. I shoot both eyes open with my handguns when using my weak hand.
Give it a try and see.

I'd start with a threaded barrel for a 9mm you already own. I like shooting my 9mm and .45ACP 1911s suppressed (I started with an Osprey 45 so I could use it on both), but the barrels need fitting, Glocks, M&P, SIG, etc are generally just "drop in". For a dedicated suppressor gun, hard to vote against the FN509 "Tactical" I also really like red dots on suppressed pistols, which the 509 accommodates nicely.

I was in a similar situation recently except my can isn't out of jail yet 
. I'm usually a Glock guy, but heard they tend to have more blowback than other pistols when suppressed so I thought I'd try something different. Wound up narrowing it down to the CZ P10C and M&P9 2.0 threaded barrel model, both of which I could get for ~$400. After reading some of the function issues folks were reporting with running the CZ suppressed I opted for the M&P. While I haven't had a chance to run it supressed yet, I have to say I really like how it shoots without a can mounted. Next step is to make sure it will cycle with the 165gr loads I worked up for my PC9 carbine. If it does well with those and doesn't choke with my Obsidian threaded on, I think I'm going to be pretty happy with it. The only downside I see thus far is that mags for the M&P are more expensive than Glock mags.
I'll probably still pick up a barrel for one of my Glocks down the line, they're fairly cheap and ubiquitous.

So I got to try a p01, an sp-01, and a p-07 with my can this weekend. The p01 shot a foot low, the sp01 jammed like crazy, and the p07 shot point of ain and worked like a charm. The p07 with my mystic was noticably quieter than the Glock 19 with a tirant 45. And the owner of all 4 sold me the p07 for $300. So that was easy. Thanks for everybody's input. Now I just need to fix the rather abysmal trigger on the p07. I'll get out my stones and work on the hammer hooks, and if that doesn't work, I'll go shopping at cajun gun works.
My gen 3 Glock 17 runs on just about anything with my AAC Illusion. It takes some ridiculously light loads for it to choke. I tried making some real quite 147 lead RN loads with the lightest powder charge of N340 that my Hornady LNL would dispense, which was 10% less than the book starting load. I wanted to see how quite the gun would be without the slide slamming back and forth. To my surprise the load functions just fine 75% of the time. This is with the factory recoil spring.

HOLY CRAP...you knocked out the top 3 choices right out of the box! I have a 226 (9mm) and USP (45) and have shot the 92…these by FAR are the best out there as far as hosts go…they just run, no matter what you put through them…at least mine do. I have some “mouse fart” loads for the 9mm that will not run in a Glock, CZ or M&P but work in the 226, granted the cyclic rate is slow but my life doesn’t depend upon the slide speed as the cans, targets and other stuff that’s attacking me doesn’t shoot back nor move.

For me? The boring old Glock 17. Been around forever, plenty of barrels/sights/holsters to choose from and they just work for me, fit hands well.
When it comes to plastic strikers I keep trying to find that better mouse trap but the Glock is what I always end up back with.

I would go beretta, can add a thread to current barrel, or buy a threaded barrel. Very reliable with a can and subs.
