What rifles/cartridges have you used to hunt and/or kill critters the past year?

12Ga. 1300 Win with #6 LongBeards for turkey.
Remington 700 ADL 243 with 4X14 Legend with 90gr Nosler BT. Absolute death on coyotes and armadillos.
Started the deer season with my Bergara B-14 6.5CM topped with a 6X18 Vortex and 143gr ELD-X but had to change because the deer were in the thick stuff. Pulled out the Model 10 Savage 300 WSM and 150gr Accubonds. It had a 2X7 Leupold. After taking a couple of deer with the 150gr, I went back to my 165gr. Not nearly as messy.

Bought a Savage in 338 Federal to play with this year. Federal Fusion 200 gr states 2700 fps but my manuals say 2500-2600 tops. Doesn't matter a 200gr Speer HotCor should be fine for anything that crosses my path.

240 Wby, 2 deer, 1 coyote, 2 pigs, and a few crows.
260 rem, 1 coyote and crows.
SKS, 1 coyote.
223, 1 rabbit for stew meat and 1 opossum.
12 ga, 1 opossum.
240 Wby is definitely my new favorite cartridge.

Pheasant: 16 ga.
Squirrel: 16 ga, .44 round ball
Rabbit: 16 ga.
Deer: 270 win.
Possum: 16 ga.

Regretfully no coyotes but I'm sure trying ;)
You must stop trying to be able to kill coyotes;)
I think they can smell it when you're hunting them.

Generally, every year I kill a buck with my (Krieghoff Drilling) 8x57jrs, then switch to my (Remington 700) .240 Wby. for the rest of the deer I put in the freezer, but last fall I shot all three deer with the 8x57jrs...

I also use a (Henry lever) 22lr and (Remington 597M) 22 WMR for small game and pest control.

For shotgun shooting, I use a (German made hammer drilling) 16ga. and a (Remington 870) 20ga...

Remington 597 22 Mag. CCI 40gr TMJ Squirrels and Hogs

Rem 7600 30-06 Federal Premium 180gr Nosler Partition. Hog

Ithaca 37/87 Deerslayer 12ga Winchester Partition Gold 2 3/4” Hog and Deer

Ruger M77 Hawkeye Gunsight Scout Rifle 450 Bushmaster Hornady 250gr FTX. (The usual boring load that works great). Deer

I killed one deer with a Ruger American ranch in 300 BLK and another with a traditions 50 cal inline muzzleloader, killed a hog with AR15 (223). Also shot a possum with the 300 BLK because he was eating my corn. Otherwise, killed a couple ducks, some doves, and a turkey with a 12 gauge shotgun (Moss 930).

.22 Cal airgun
.357 Cal airgun
.375 Ruger

only actually hunted 3 times so far this year.
Is the 357 air gun. Worth the cost?
I did some research when they first came out and it was just a lot of magazine type reviews back then.

In terms of pure performance, no not really.
My gun delivers a 145gr bullet at 860-847 for 3 shots, which is what I tuned it for. So basically your getting .38 special performance for 3 rounds, and a lot of work (I'm a pumper right now), all for the kingly sum of about 700-800 dollars for gun and pump.
They are also quite loud stock.
While the guns tuned for 3rounds withing a few fps of each other, I produced a sub 1" 5 shot group at 50yds when I sighted it last.

Now the shear novelty, and enjoying airguns makes this one worthwhile to me.
I've also installed a Bulldog Mega moderator, which makes it quiet enough I fired it from inside the cab of my buddies truck without hurting anyone's ears.
It's usefulness has already been found in dealing with problem piggies where firearms discharge, or a pig squealing thru the neighbors yard with an antenna would cause an issue.

Since I live in the middle of nowhere, that means 38s in my Rossi92 is the same thing. Thanks.

Just curious, is this considered to be same as a can? Assume not since it is not a "fire"arm.

hps
the rules regarding air rifle moderators are vague at best. The basic theory, as I understand it, is that an air gun moderators/suppressor is NOT a nfa item as long as it is 100% intended to be used on an air gun. The moderator on my bulldog is 3d printed and mounts directly to the triangular barrel shroud and is not easily adaptable to any firearm.

Ruger M77 RL .270 Win for a whitetail.
Ruger All Weather 77/22 .22 WMR feral cat
Ruger 77/22 .22 LR feral cat, armadillo
Ruger Single Six .22 LR mercy on sick raccoon.
Remington 870 12 gauge, armadillo

22lr, 12ga, 20ga, 410. Mostly hunt small game. Shoot one deer on my 25th birthday. With my grandpa's Sears & Robuck 12ga.

My 6.8 SPC AR is all I’ve deer hunted with since 2012. Five bucks all one shot kills. All have been hand loaded 110 VMax or 90 gr Gold Dot.

My 450 Bushmaster AR will get it’s chance this year though. Haven’t decided which load I’ll use yet. Been working on several, and all are accurate enough.

Well when I decide to go deer hunting, usually by invite to a ranch or estate to harvest a damaging to crop animal legally, I take my .270 WSM Winchester Ultimate classic 1999 Stainless that is bedded and tuned more than a decade ago and the Leupold VX3 3.5-10 in DeadNutz Gamereaper mounts have not been adjusted since I standardized on a 130 grain Federal Trophy premium Copper load which is California legal and offers great penetration and bullet performance and lazer like trajectory . I kept this gun in it's heavy dense Ryanite ugly stock after I glass skim coated it and tuned the old style trigger to 2.5 pounds , it proved it's self first in Africa about 13 years ago (with 150 grain Federal Nosler Partitions) and has stayed perfectly sighted in for 10 years since I went to the Barnes Copper 130 load . My "go to " deer gun. I have others in .308 I "like" better , but this is the go to always predictable one. The mounts are a big part of the trust I think ! I have never used more than a single shot out to 325 yards with this rig in 3 states and in Africa. This gun is a proven 1moa shooter on demand with the load it is sighted in for it is 1" high at 100 yards and I don't hold over as far as I shoot which is 300 yards or so - max

For the past 2 years I've hunted with a Marlin XS-7 in 7mm-08 with a Leupold VX1 3-9x40mm.

Deer season starts here after one more week and I'll likely be taking this one out again. I may end up (eventually) switching to a Boyds Maple stock though. I'm just not a synthetic hunting rifle guy :)
