Never had one, so could not tell you. That said, I would really like to have one for a small barrel trainer. Have been putting it off for a while now. They look like they would be a fun little gun to have a good time with. I believe that one member, "Jar" who has a nice collection of pocket guns has one or had one. Maybe he will be along to post again.

I had one years ago. Overall I liked it. It was reliable but it shot at least 2" high at about 7 yards. I would buy another if I could get one that shot closer to point of aim.

I have an Annoying Cricket; one of the PT-22 Poly versions and it's been totally reliable but has one small issue. The pivot pin through the frame at the trigger tends to work loose. Since I don't shoot extended sessions with it haven't bothered to do anything but just push it back in.

Went through three in quick succession when they first came out. Pivot pin kept breaking. Taurus finally got tired of replacing them and offered me an 85CH in trade. I still have, and like, that fine little revolver. So I guess I'd have to say that my experience with the PT22 wasn't all bad.

I have the polymer version of the PT-22,,,
I also have her big sister chambered in .25 ACP.

Technically it was named the "22-PLY",,,
Even though the slide reads PT-22.

I give it a hearty Thumbs-Up for performance,,,
My only negative thought is the trigger has a long pull and a long reset.

Other than that it's very ergonomic and easy to hit with,,,
I joke and say it helps to bring out my inner James Bond.

My little mouse gun has been ultra reliable with CC!-standard velocity or Mini-Mags,,,
In fact I can't remember if I have ever experienced any kind of failure.

It did choke on Remington Golden Bullets,,,
But so does every other semi-auto I own.

If you want a rimfire mouse gun I recommend looking into the 22-PLY,,,
Sadly, the 25 ACP version was discontinued.

Nice report. I find that the fact it is a DAO a good thing. Since most Pocket gun are. And again, they would make a nice trainer for pocket guns.

I have one made in 1998. Like it a lot. Never a malfunction with either of the two ammunition makes I've used (Federal AutoMatch and CCI MiniMags.) Hits where I expect it to within reasonable distances. My wife liked it the most of several I used to orient her to handguns several years ago.

I've since acquired two of the .25ACP versions, also. I don't carry any of these, as I have a P32 Kel-Tec for deep-pocket carry, but they're fun little guns to own, handle, and shoot.

I didn't vote because I don't get the rationale behind offering two identical poll options that each cover all possible opinions.

I am not 100% sure about this...

Did Taurus originally copy the Beretta model more exactly and make a PT22 that was DA/SA?

I had a DAO version. It was very pretty, and reliable, but the trigger was so stiff that I couldn't hit anything with it.

Just picked one up a few months ago. Had one malfunction with bulk ammo, but with CCI ammo it is flawless. Trigger is long but smooth and can be staged. It sits nicely in hand. It’s been a nice training companion for my Beretta Pico and Ruger LCP. It even gets CCW duty on quick walks with dog.

I have the older aluminum frame model and like it. Sometimes has issues with certain ammo, usually bulk ammo, so I shoot CCI thru it mostly. Any feed issues I'm blaming on the mags that came with it. I want to buy a brand new magazine to see if it will help, but keep forgetting to do it when I'm buying other stuff.

I do like it has a DA pull, I think every rimfire handgun should have a DA pull in case of a light primer strike. That's one of the reasons I don't have a Ruger Mark or S&W Victory pistol.

I a PT 22 PLY, have not shot it enough to know if is 100%, but the so far it has been ammo sensitive.

I had a PT-22 many years ago. It was ok, but VERY ammo sensitive. Traded it for a Buckmark. One of the best trades I ever made.....never regretted it for an instant.
