Reloading lefties

I've always thought about converting my press to being foot operated. Not only would it solve the problem of a bad shoulder(my issue is carpal), but then you could have the press directly in front of you instead of off to the side.

This is an interesting thread. I've taken a press or two, either single stage Lee or RCBS, on the road so I could load ammunition in my off time. Due to differences in how rooms were set up, I constantly change my set up. I don't consider myself ambidextrous but I have trained myself to do many reloading tasks with either hand. About the only thing I can't change is the powder measure. That's pretty much right hand only. My advice is to play around and see what works.

Overuse injuries suck. Take care of yourself and be careful.

I have a pair of RCBS priming tools buried somewhere in my garage, a STD priming tool and an Auto Priming tool that takes awhat is now a std RCBS priming tube.

And then the Hand Priming Tool came out. And then the one with the Primer Tray feed.
Still use both.

I'm left handed. It doesn't mean I have to do every primary task with that hand. Certain things (like reloading presses) are set up to run primarily with the right hand.

In my mind the LNL is a left-handed press.

On the LNL press the heavy work is done with the right hand. But the work that requires fine motor skills is done with the left. Adding cases and bullets with the left hand while the right hand never has to leave the handle.

Its a right handed world. Anybody who is left handed has learned to adapt to a degree. I'm left handed and have never considered moving the handle. In fact, it allows me to handle the cases and bullets with my left hand.

Hi...
My son is left handed and he uses his right hand to operate the press and uses his left for the cases and bullets as well.
He runs two different LnL presses and a RockChucker Supreme and once we get it running a Dillon 550.
