Hey everyone,
I have always used a toolbox as range bag since I live in an apartment. I recently got myself an old American made all metal toolbox (nice upgrade from the cheaper metal/plastic hybrid that I've been using for years).
I want to customize so that I can neatly store the mags vertically along back wall of the toolbox, as seen in photo of me holding mag. Normally I just keep the mags in sandwhich bags down in bottom on top of my ammo, and I just don't like that anymore. I am not very creative but had a couple thoughts so far:
1) I could perhaps buy a cloth type multi-mag pouch and secure with magnets (i don't want to really permanently alter toolbox).
2) I've made a few kydex holsters and pouches for myself before. I could line up about 5 mags and form a piece of kydex perhaps, keep back flat. Then repeat for another batch of 5 and attach these to the back wall of toolbox with magnets.
3) Using thin craft type wood as backer, then maybe just stapling some material to it to form pouches for the individual mags, and just fit that in snug against back wall of toolbox.
What do you guys think? Any ideas?
