  1. Vote for Democrat candidates KNOWING they WILL work towards gun confiscation and gun ban - Wrong choice
  2. Vote for Republican candidate KNOWING he WILL NOT work towards gun confiscation and MAYBE some gun control - Better choice
  3. Not vote - Wrong choice. Why would I waste a vote?

I know its not really your point, but there is often a libertarian candidate. A vote that often aligns pretty well with my principles but not often with victory.
 
The white house is hoping for a bipartisan gun control agenda before September.

I honestly believe we were better off 2A wise under 8 of Obama than 3 years of Trump. If I even remember correctly, they had control of Congress and the Presidency, and nothing was really passed. Heck, under Obama, the ATF approved bumbstocks and pistol braces. Under Trump, the ATF has basically been instructed to find a way to ban them. Under Obama, it seemed that gun owners and our representatives were united as one, vocal, ticked off, active, and fighting. Under Trump, gun owners seem defeated, betrayed, divided, and complacent... Other Republicans in Congress knew it was political suicide to vote with Obama and the Democrats on gun control. Now, with the so called Republican President supporting gun control along with Democrats, they feel more comfortable following his lead...

So, there is winning the battle and winning the war.

Tactics and strategy.

Voting for someone who will not win, or not voting at all, out of principle, is a winning tactic (at least for you).

But a losing strategy.

IMHO, our representatives who have claimed to be proponent of gun rights had control of all 3 branches of government and a majority of governorships, and they did nothing. We got nothing. Accually, we did get some which was more gun control. If they could push a tax bill and judges through the Congress, they could have rammed gun right laws through too. IMHO, a lose would be a wake huge much needed wake up call. I'm tired of doing the same thing over and over while "hoping" for a different outcome. We been voting for the evil each and every election, and it's gotten us nowhere.

Point bring nothing much was passed other than easy to remove E/O. Stuff is currently being passed under this president. That's the reality of it all.

The majority of the country is quickly becoming anti-gun with each shooting.


These are occurring every few days.

Trump and the NRA are some of the only folks on our side.

Can you stand by and stick your head in the stand by not supporting some of our only allies ?

Can you stand there and tell me that not supporting Trump in 2016 would have been better for our RKBA ?

Can you stand there and tell me that not supporting Trump in 2020 would be better for our RKBA ?

OK now @Styx, let me hear you loud and clear on these points !!!

And in reality, Trump was supposed to lose in a landslide. I don't believe those polls for a second, I don't know who did the poll, and what questions were asked. I also don't believe that Republican voters support such measures in high numbers. Furthermore and most importantly, the representatives we voted into office courted our votes by being against UBC and AWBs.
