Has anybody used Fiocchi 73 gr FMJ ammo in their Kel-tek P-32?
Any function/cycle/reliability issues?
General thoughts about Fiocchi ammo? They also make 60 gr JHP in .32 acp.

I have a whole list of ammo I'll probably order from Visards... seems like after shopping they will be my best value for all these single boxes for testing. $15 flat shipping if from certain warehouses.

Fiocchi ball is fine in my P32. I prefer S&B, but will use Fiocchi if first choice isn't available.

I stay away from HP in the P32 for 2 reasons: possible rimlock and failure to penetrate. If I ever shoot someone with a .32 I want that bullet to get to the vitals, even if it doesn't expand, which is iffy at best in that caliber and barrel length.

when I had a P32 I fed it every fmj I could find. it was a good gun that I just felt was toyish feeling. I lament letting it go.

Ive had that thought myself, so maybe theres no point in testing HP ammo.
I just got 4 boxes of fiocchi fmj today so Ill see how that does.
Is SB that much better? Its more expensive than fiocchi.

I bought 2K rds of Fiocchi 73 gr. FMJ. When that's done, I'm getting another 2K rds. ...

Like that say in the real estate biz:

Penetration, Penetration, Penetration ...

They both work well in all of my 32acp pistols, and I have quite a few.

Same here. I've been using S&B for many years and on occasion will use Fiocchi for my P32s. I prefer S&B, though Fiocchi comes in a close second.

Lately, I've been toying around with Geco. I'll have to get a few additional outings in before putting it in the same league as the two above. So far, the results are promising.

Stick with European ball ammo & you should be fine. Don't bother with the hollow points or other shorter bullets like Buffalo Bore as you will get a rim lock - just a matter of time.

I use almost nothing other than Fiocchi ammo in my P-32. S&B will also work as mentioned above.

Along with the 73gr FMJ ammo #32AP I also like the 60gr Fiocchi SJHP ammo #32APHP, but not the XTP bullet ammo #32XTP. The velocity is surprisingly high with the Fiocchi 60gr ammo and it's accurate too.

Fiocchi 60gr XTP feed and function with no issues in mine. It penetrates 10 to 12 inches in gel consistently from the P32.

works in my two. only hardball ammo I ever had trouble in my p32s was winchester white box with the flat nose. would rimlock. that was long ago havent tried it since...they may have fixed it now? not that ya asked but just cause.....the hollow point ppu works fine in standard mags even not modified to have the insert for hollow points keltec used to make. ppu hollow is long enough to not allow rimlocking issues.

This is how I actually learned about rimlock, the very day I bought my P32.

I started off with the P32, made sure I seated all the rounds in the magazine perfectly to the rear and have not had one single rimlock. I guess certain ammo might do this, but have not found any at this point. The big thing was that the P32 feeds Underwood Defender Plus P perfectly. And one of the things I also did when I first bought the gun was place a 13 Lb recoil spring in.

Shot 100 rounds of the blue box fiocchi at lunch today. Only hickups were 2 or 3 failures to extract. These happened after the 75 round mark (half way thru the second box) while shooting quick doubles. No problems with doubles earlier, and singles still cycled well til the end.
Overall I'm happy. I ordered 10 boxes of fio, a box of geco to try out and a spare mag. I had to cut my order in half to avoid trouble at home ;)

In tbe P-32 I owned ... It ran great with European ammo
.. My favorite was GECO ....

Kel-Tec P32 is a great gun. Fiocchi is a good, hot 32acp

I load out
Chamber: Hornady hp
top round in magazine: Hornady hp
rest of magazine: Fiocchi FMJ
(for expansion, then penetration and lack of rim lock)

I convinced a female friend to buy one when they were just on sale for $130. She loves it. I should have bought another one

She uses this:

(boobz are useful!)

Underrated round too, IMO. Great for those recoil sensitive. Definately better than 22/25
