SRs are Back in Ruger's Line-up

If EAA can make the Witness in a compact in 10mm, then there's no reason other US made poly pistols like the SR series or M&P line can't too.
There is a difference between making them, and making them last over time. The Witness does not have the best reputation for durability.

I have a fullsize SR9 in 9 mm and will say After a few thousand round down the bore with a upgrade connector installed and 2 1/2 coils removed from the striker spring it
Has no wall smooth trigger break at 3 1/2 lbs.
The Gun is for IDPA
I find reloading with Winchester small pistol primers I have no light primer strikes.
I will say the Ruger only problem is short brass below factory spec will give me a light strike.
My Glock gen4 17 trigger is outstanding at 2 3/4 lbs but still has the wall on the first shot.
I find for older eyes the sr9 has a better sight picture.

I almost bought pre-SR .45 (hammer version). It fit medium hand very well. I did not buy it only because it did not accept 1911 magazines.

If they would do a run without the mag safety and thumb safety I’d buy one in a NY minute! That’s the only reason that I don’t own one.

What is nice about the c version, is it will take a 17rd magazine and make it into a full size.
Always a plus for sure.

I think the SRc proportions are just about perfect for some one with small to medium size hands.
Yes sir, agree completely.
I'm trying to figure out which your avatar represents, Heckle or Jeckle? :D
Ha! It depends on the day. Yesterday was more of a Jeckle day.

I was looking at gun.deals today & noticed CDNN has the RAP compact for $299.99 if you're interested. I think the ad said shipping was from $0-$3.99.
I ended up getting the RAP compact, the one with a thumb safety non-pro listed for $289, and an extra 12 rd. magazine from CDNN. Ran me just under $340 with transfer fee.
Thanks for the link. :)

I think the SR series is going the way of the LC9S. It was discontinued but there was some distributer specials that sold, most likely to clear out part supplies.

The EC9s is the same gun but I want night sights on my guns.

Yeah, I'm really not sure what Ruger was thinking dumping the LC9s and its changeable sights. The EC9s may be cheaper, but you're stuck with the sights that come with that pistol.

I have to believe that Ruger is working on their own version of the P365 or Glock 43x. They can see the consumer is gravitating towards those "stack & a half" poly pistols. I may think they're dumb and are not much thinner than traditional doublestacks, but I'm not the typical schlub who's drawn in like a bug to light with those pistols and their higher capacities than single stacks, but "slimmer" profile than doublestacks.

Yep, still have a LC9S and still have the SR9C. Both in great condition. The Best of Ruger IMO. Alway's loved the slim cool design of the LC9S.

(Ps, looking at my own Pic, the grey tape needs to go. Certainly not needed)

I like my sr40, and just ordered an sr45 from GrabAGun for only $289. They charge 7.00 shipping so, less than $300 to your FFL. I'm pretty sure they have 9s and 40s for about the same price.

I see where Fin, Feather, & Fur has both the full size and compact SR9 for $299.
