So I know nothing about this.

I recently bought a nice, slightly used CZ 455, 22 RF.

I would like to use a bipod with it.

It came with two sling swivels, one at the front and one at the butt. The swivels are spring loaded and easily removed, leaving the 'stud?' for want of a better word, in the wood.

So here is what I don't know.

I think bipods are available that attach to the stud, but I don't know anything more than that. I have gone to a couple of websites, Harris and Caldwell, but they don't really mention how their bipods interface with the stud. Am I correct in assuming there are bipods that will connect directly to the stud?

If so, what are they called?

How does one attach them? Do they clip on? Is there a tightening mechanism?

I really know nothing at all about this, I would just like to put a bipod on for some informal shooting at the range, from a bench, mostly at 50 yards and out to 100 yards. I don't need to spend a lot of money, I just want something that attaches to the stud, if such a thing exists, and want to know what to look for.

Thanks

I have 2 bipod a Caldwell and a Harris. Both attach to swivel stud. The attachment point is a 2 piece rod that sildes into stud and is tightened up with a screw locking it in place. The bipod also has an attachment point for your sling swivel.

Assume that if a bipod doesn’t say picatinny rail or Swiss arca rail that it attaches to the stud.

And yes the Harris and cheap Chinese knockoff Caldwell clip to it and have a tightening mechanism

The stud you have there is the same as what's on my Thompson R55 Benchmark:

I bought a Harris bipod for my .22, but take note I had to get a flat fore-end adapter plate for my rifle, because of its wide flat profile.
So in my case I bought these two items:

And this is the plate that goes between the fore-end and the bipod:
