I should have been more clear. I meant to say I want a Ruger LCR, chambered in .327 Federal Magnum (actually, two of them. One for my wife and one for myself). And I want to handle and examine it/them before paying for it/them.

You might just have to buy one and see if you like it. Atleast it isn't that big of a purchase.

I have several LCR’s and suggest you try the grip and trigger on any of the centerfire models since it is the pretty much the same. The 327 may be on the 357 frame. In mine I shoot mainly the 32 magnums.

A chain retailer might have them, but an LGS isn't. .32 revolvers of any flavor just aren't popular enough for those guys to bring in and put on display cuz when Joe Schmoe or Jane Doe walk in with little gun knowledge, they're going to choose the bigger caliber vs the small one because that means it's more powerful.
That and a .38 LCR costs about $100 less than the .327 they've never heard of.
I agree with lincen, handle a .357 LCR and that'll be your best means of handling a .327 LCR.

I've handled plenty of them (.38 Specials and .357 Magnum variants) which is why I want one for my wife and for myself. Imo, they're butt-ugly but the da pull is way better on them than the stroke on any of the many J-frame Smiths I've handled. The reason I want to handle and examine any firearm before paying for it is to be certain the fit and finish of each individual revolver is satisfactory. Finally, even though ammunition will be harder to find, I like the advantage of having an extra shot in the same size revolver for carrying concealed, self-defense purposes and I like having the flexibility of multiple ammunition types, from soft .32 S&W to medium .32 H&R Magnum to hard .327 Federal Magnum-and everything in-between.
Thanks everyone for your inputs. I'm still on the search for a store in Ohio that has them in stock. I may have to special order it as Texas10mm suggested.

I would just order one. If you have any issues, contact Ruger and send it to them. They will make it right. They are the one company I would never be afraid to buy sight unseen. I really like mine, even though Ruger had to replace it since it couldn’t be repaired. I’d buy another from them if I was in the market.

Over the years I’ve had to send only two revolvers back to Ruger. The shop I buy from sent them back and in about two to three weeks I had perfectly functioning handguns. Ruger Service department does good work and makes the customer happy !

I’ve had to send in several to them but they’ve always made it right, even if it took more than one try. They’ve replaced two guns for me and I’m definitely a big believer in their customer service. Best in the business!

Try Sportsmans Trading Post in Wintersville. Last time I was there they had a LCR in .327 Fed Mag. 740-266-6763. Good luck.

Galley of guns. Lifetime warranty, plus you can inspect BEFORE you do the paper work. If its not right...they will ship it back and ship you another.
