Bersa Firestorm vs S&W Shield

I have a Bersa (thunder 380) that I shoot it not very often, run ok perfect size and accuracy enough.
The only issue is with some ammo and magazines, HP might choke, not all run ok have to be Bersa by serial # for all models (if you buy it used).
I did not grip any shield even at shows, so no opinions formed.

Yep, for a 380. Shield too big for me personally. Like I said did not like it. Bought a LC9s
I will say this. I have the Bersa Thunder in 22.cal and love the feel of that gun.

Well I was thinking of a completely different pistol that came out about 30 years ago. I thought it was the Firestorm. It was stainless, small, but very heavy. Sorry for the mistake. I found one on Gunbroker. Bersa Thunder .45acp. That was the one I was thinking of.

I'm about to turn 21 and want to buy a handgun that I can ccw under a t-shirt.

Neither. You're 21 and live in California so chances are you will not be able to carry a concealed weapon anyway. Use your money and buy a nice cell phone and keep all the local PDs on speed dial.

Neither. I've had 4 Smith & Wesson autos break multiple times (all of the S&W autos I've owned), an M&P 40, a Shield,

First rule of BS. If you're going to make something up, it needs to start with "true story". Also make sure it's plausible.

Either one will work. They are very different, so one will feel much better in the hand than the other. Go with the one that inspires more confidence.

Right now I'm kinda leaning towards the Firestorm, even though the Shield is 9mm and basically the same size which makes it a little more practical.

Dude. Shield, if you're serious.

And it seems we are comparing a 380 to a 9mm. I own a Bersa Thunder 22.cal, and am not going to post what I do not know at all about a different model gun. And again, a whole lot of post from people that never owned the gun going on. Spats posted before that he would go with a Shield when comparing it to the Ruger LC9S. Although he was honest enough to say it did not own a Ruger. I will give him credit for that. However as I said, I have not owned the Bersa and it would be totally disingenuous to give a opinion on a gun you know nothing about. By the way, as I mentioned, I owned a Shield and bought the LC9s. And would do so again. And let me emphasize that both are excellent firearms.

A guy comes in from a different planet. Goes up to the Pepsi, Coke taste test. Picks Pepsi without trying the Coke and gets on the internet and tell's everyone that Pepsi is the best. Sorry if I disagree with so many posters.

I bought the Ruger on the theory that it’d be very easy to conceal and it was. However, that came with a price. It was too small for my hands so I found it uncomfortable to shoot. I found myself going to my club and shooting .22s since the tiny Ruger tended to pinch my finger.

If it fits, it’s a great concealment solution but in my ham handed case, I traded it for a Shield in 40. I find this a joy to shoot and in fact, use it recreationally. I just got 800 rods in steel ammo cases (Winchester) for $200 shipped.

More recreation scheduled soon.
