Modern ASP!

Tom Gresham announced this on his Sunday radio program yesterday. Interesting to see what they were discussing as it wasn't 100% clear from their talk.
I have the 1.0 version ..... maybe I should get the 2.0?

Can someone explain the sight system? How exactly does that work?

I agree I would have to handle and shoot this. What about shots made farther than 10yards? He does not address this. Time will tell and I have never got upset about muzzle blast gumming up my front sight.

I could be wrong, but i thought the ASP was for up close and personal. snag free concealed pistol.

Glanced at this and saw ASP and comments about the sights and I was surprised anyone had brought back the GutterSnipe sights....well then I went to the link and saw neither!

Actually I rather liked the S&W 9mm Lady Smith that got close to being an ASP yet still had traditional sights ( Don't recall model Number)

I would not have traded my then carry P7 for one but did shoot it alongside. Of course I could have had two S&W of that type for the USA cost of one P7 but I was fortunate enough to pick up my P7 in Germany and import tax free as a returning serviceman and it was basically $350 in 1981 dollars.

My one experience with an ASP was impressive, but for me and only one session to use it the GutterSnipe sighting system did not seem especially fast up close or accurate out yonder.

This dot in a circle seems to have potential. In the comments of the article there was an unanswered question about telling how much you were off, but one illustration seemed to show that one could see if the dot were off centered in the ring. The tritium power source was appealing, but I wonder how hard it would be to replace.

I do not think this new gun is a pretty as an ASP. But that's me.
