So picked up a FRMP 1909 carbine which had a serial Number in the low 200s with an "A" Prefix.

Now I have Seen a few FRMP Carbines and the serial Number are 0xxxxx 6 digits in length. But I have never seen one with a "A" prefix. This serial number is
A002xx so still 6 spaces, but only 5 digits and a letter..

While possible....I kinda doubt it.

I would see if any other numbers line up....I just picked up a pretty low number LL chilean and the entire item just fits......I usually go with the well if one thing looks not quite correct something somewhere happened. And keep in mind they really did not care if the floor plate had the same SN# as the rest of the gun....it just did not matter.

If stolen again these items are usually not worth much.....I am sure others will chime in here but bad guys are really lazy....that takes effort.

So finding another fmap Argentine you will see the writing is different on the crest, and the numbers are 6 digit
