Presidential Carry Permit

That is going to go nowhere if the legitimacy of may issue permitting is found constitutional. We have only wishful thinking about whether the current court would wash away may issue for shall issue.

Heller said:

Like most rights, the right secured by the Second Amendment is not unlimited. From Blackstone through the 19th-century cases, commentators and courts routinely explained that the right was not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose. See, e.g., Sheldon, in 5 Blume 346; Rawle 123; Pomeroy 152–153; Abbott333. For example, the majority of the 19th-century courts to consider the question held that prohibitions on carrying concealed weapons were lawful under the Second Amendment or state analogues. See, e.g., State v. Chandler, 5 La. Ann., at 489–490; Nunn v. State, 1 Ga., at 251; see generally 2 Kent *340, n. 2; The American Students’ Blackstone 84, n. 11 (G. Chase ed. 1884). Although we do not undertake an exhaustive historical analysis today of the full scope of the Second Amendment , nothing in our opinion should be taken to cast doubt on longstanding prohibitions on the possession of firearms by felons and the mentally ill, or laws forbidding the carrying of firearms in sensitive places such as schools and government buildings, or laws imposing conditions and qualifications on the commercial sale of arms.26

So don't hold your breath on this. Carry suits have not been taken up.

Of all the things I worry about when I leave the house in the AM, none of the past presidents or the present one scare me.

Now, there have been actions by politicians that I feel make the streets less safe, but that is another story.

Agh, I couldn't read it with their thing blocking half the page. A couple of them are scary, no doubt, doesn't make me want to carry more though.

"Whalen’s challenge against Maryland is one of dozens, perhaps even hundreds, of test cases that gun rights advocates have brought in state and federal courts around the country following the Supreme Court’s landmark 2008 decision in District of Columbia v. Heller."

They're using it to challenge Maryland's strict gun code.

I can't count the number of times I've heard that Trump supporters were the ones to be feared. This just serves as a reminder that the argument can go either way.

Not sure claiming to be afraid is the same thing as being afraid. I've never met a supporter of either party who genuinely scared me; certainly not to the point I would have wanted a weapon.

I will say this for a fact. Where I live, after the Trump election, my indoor ranges filled up with all kinds of riff raff. I mean it just became totally unsafe. The indoor range officer started to wear a vest. I gave a chuckle the first day I saw him wearing one. He said "see that board" pointing at a chalk board next to us. That is the number of times, I have had a gun pointed at my direction since this mess started. He also told me they have had to call the police a number of time, because of people under the influence, bad behavior etc. The vast majority, were renting gun. Very few owned their own. They were constantly loud, did not obey range rules, constant use of cell phones etc.
So who were these folks? Anti Trump supporters who believed that since Trump was elected they feared for their life. I will on occasion turn to CNN to get a Idea of the Propagada of the day. On a number of occasions, I listed as two commentators actually said. "When I heard the news that Trump won the election, I went and woke up my children, and told them that their life is now in danger".
And it sure showed, because they were bringing in a lot of small kids and teaching them how to shoot. (the wrong, unsafe way).

These are the things Propaganda are the result of. And it is what is destroying this Country. Sheepal politics. Mainstream Propaganda. And as history as showed us. Guns will be taken away and the power to defend will be gone.
