I generally try to shoot at least once a week, I think it would be fun to see what everyone else is getting behind and pulling the trigger on.

This week for me...

450 bushmaster AR

Daughters 300 blk AR - new optic, sight in for her

M&P AR 5.56

Glock 26

Lately I've just been firing up a combine lol.

Last week when it was raining though I put about 6 mags (78 rounds) through my Glock 23. Surprisingly I think I was a better shot than I was last time I shot, which was in the beginning of July. I was consistently busting water bottles and cope cans at 97 feet which is pretty good for me. I've been doing a lot of dry fire practice in the hotel room.

I put approximately 120 rounds each through a Glock 42 and a SW 642. Interesting comparison between two pocket guns. The 42 is much easier on the hands than the 642. As far as accuracy, I shoot either equally well or crappy, depending on your point of view. LOL.

I wouldn't recommend the lightweight Js for a newbie, esp. with +P ammo. It does have a kick. I wore gloves for the whole exercise.

Shot a round of sporting clays with my Hatfield SAS.
Sold my DMR AR build, sans optics, so I also shot a) my 8yo son's S&W M&P 15-22 to sight in the Burris FF-II from the DMR, and the KISS carbine I built to replace the DMR.
Overall, a good week.

300WM testing solid copper bullets for a possible CA hunt.
I shot a large blacktail in Ca last month from about 70 yards with a 300 WM with those copper bullets. It went down, but it didn't react on the shot like I expected and it ran a ways before he bled out. Perfect broadside shot placement. He almost got another one but he crashed eventually. The locals warned me about this, so just be ready for a follow-up.

Cpl R700 cast bullet rigs. Stainless SPS 7-08 and a ADL 223.

Last Sunday to this Sunday, a new Axis II 6.5 Creedmore, a Browning 22 short SA-22 and an AR7 Survival rifle. The latter today, and pretty darned fun to put together, slap on a scope with a QD mount, and plink away a few mags. The hedge apples never knew what hit them!

Friday : Took the Henry single shot .308 to the club to zero the recently mounted 1-8x Vortex Strike Eagle scope. Vortex says to do initial zero at 30 yds. for a .308 to use the calibrated reticle at long ranges. The club has pistol ranges out to 30 yds. so I used one of them, (it's allowed ). Zeroed it and played with several different loads just out of curiosity. It's weird shooting a 308 at 30 yds. Dialed it in and then as long as I was on the pistol range I went through 40 rounds of 9mm in the Glock 19 just for practice. Didn't have time to try the Henry at the rifle range. That will be this coming week.

What bullet did you use??

Ive been testing GMX's but am thinking of going to a TTSX. (all 180gr)

Same thing I shoot every week, G17 for comps/HD, and G26 that I EDC.

I generally try and get some .22 action in too but it's been a few weeks.

I know, boring...

Ruger original Vaquero in 44-40.
300 blackout 8.5" SBR (ATF approved) built on Bushmaster receiver.
CZ P-01 9mm.
CZ Rami 9mm.

I shot five dot torture drills with an xd45 compact (x2), an xd9 (x1), and an xdm9 (x2).

Shooting with my non-dominant hand sure needs some work.

Worked my New Vaquero .45ACP, two FALS, HK91, A real MAC-10 .45 subgun, and a pile of other persons' guns at the Cowtown, AZ range.

The best, most obscure, was the Win 351 autoloader. Rang steel @ 100yd with the first shot. What a sweetheart!

Unfortunately I can't remember. It was a borrowed rifle and ammunition, that I didn't even zero myself- I fired 1 round at a tennis ball at 200 yards and hit it, then we hit the field.

Unfortunately nothing this week. I'm trying to utilize the last of the warm weather to get some outdoor deck staining finished before winter. I'll never own a deck again when I move.

Two weeks ago I sent 500 rounds down range, 300 from my CZ Shadow 2, and 200 45 acps from my Dan Wesson Bobtail and my SA XDs. It was a good day.

I'm hoping to get out next Sunday for a long session. I have some 38 Super max loads I want to send past the radar, and it feels like my 10mms are getting lonely.

I have been shooting pretend bullets at pretend targets in my living room a lot.
