The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) also has some excellent instructional materials on-line, mostly in the form of short articles and tutorials, many of which come from the nation's best rifle marksmen. Try metallic silhouette shooting. You stand on your two legs and shoot off hand with no support, no shooting jacket and no sling. It is a very humbling sport, many people try it once and give up because it is a very difficult competition. If your information is correct it shows you live near St. Louis, MO. The Bench Rifle Club of St. Louis shows on their website that they shoot .22lr bolt rifle, cowboy lever gun, air rifle, high power rifle and handgun silhouette. If you can master metallic silhouette you won't have to take a back seat to anyone when it comes to shooting ability.
