Sorry if this is a rehash, I don't visit here often.

S&B small pistol primers worked fine for my cowboy action loads, and were less expensive than Federals. I have been looking for some more S&Bs online and cannot find any. My last purchase a couple of years ago was from Sportsman's Warehouse but S&B is no longer in their list. Cabelas lists them as out of stock.

Have I missed something? Are S&B primers no longer available?

I use them also. Cabela's was the only major distributor that carried them, a few smaller firms did as well, but I don't think they were ever as popular as the American brands.
Last year Cabela's had a big sale on them, and another in February. I have not seen them since. It would not be surprise me if they stopped selling them.

They are gone.
Check federal rebate. Basically 20% off with $100 purchase. I think shipped I was able to get them for 2.6 cents each after rebate, shipping, and hazmat

I have many thousands of S&B primers, of various sizes. I've never experienced any problems with them.

It's a shame they are no longer available, it was a good product at a decent price.

I wonder if perhaps the import restrictions had anything to do with the decision to stop selling here ?

Just for kicks, I sometimes keep an empty box with the original price tag.

I looked in my souvenir box last night and found the container for the very first "full one thousand" primers I ever bought.

They were RWS. They came packaged in plastic boxes of 250 primers, with four boxes per carton. Bought from a full retail LGS, the price tag was for $4.25 per thousand.

(Of course, sometimes I forget that at that time a Patrolman First Class was paid $450 per month salary.)

I did the same. It’s the best deal going right now.

Magtech and Fiocchi primers are still available.

I know we can't get Russian primers because of sanctions, are there any sanctions on the Czech Republic? Maybe that's why S&B primers are out of stock for now.

Wow! Shame about S&B primers no longer being made/imported. Glad I bought a ton of them a few years ago. They seem to work very well for my applications.

Last order I did was Cabela's on 02/14/19 for 10K of the rifle primers @ $18.80 per 1 K. Using my Cabela,s Club Card I got free shipping but paid a $20 HAZMAT fee. It seems S&B primers has always been a spotty thing on the shelves at outlets or online. I have seen post on this subject going back over 10 years, like on again and off again. Beats me what the truth is.

My question is: are the Fiocchi primers any good and does anyone have any experience with them?

Same here, haven't used them, but have read plenty of good things about them.

I used only 1500 Fiocchi SP primers a friend gave me during the last shortage. I used them mostly in .38 Special ammo and didn't notice any difference with them or the CCI SPP I usually use. I now wish I would have paid more attention to possible accuracy differences but I didn't.

Well, I've fired 1,000s of Fiocchi ammo.
The question is, are they the same primers they sell as components?

If so, then ya, they're very good.
