What is the last gun that you bought?

I have a Ruger Blackhawk with the 38/357mag and a 9mm cylinder. Lot's of fun...
How’s that 9mm in the Blackhawk, the correct bullets are just a tad smaller.

The 45ACP headspaces on its mouth so the cylinder for the cattleman is bored like a 1911 barrel. Bullet diameters are the same .452. Both cartridges are dead on accurate in the gun.

The 9's are not as accurate. I just have fun with the fact that it will shoot 3 different cartridges out of the same pistol.

Space Ghost: You mean that it's the original 225, and not the newer 225 A-1?

If even it is the older type like my 1987 production date, my somewhat skinny pinky never rubs the mag on the 225 or my P6.

It was the old school 225. Yes, my hand is rather wide, and my pinkie caught hard right at the front edge of the mag. I already have 2 9mm Glocks anyhow, a 17 and 19... it's gone to a good home now... Looking to get a 10/22 Charger takedown.

I just paid for a new Glock 34 Gen 3. I can’t do the paperwork until next Monday as one cannot buy more than one handgun in 30 days in CA. I bought a G26 on September 28 so gotta wait to get the paperwork started.

Interesting story…Buddy of mine was willed guns from a real close friend of his that passed couple months back and everything was in 6 safes…3 he had the combination for. Anyway, my buddy calls asking if I can get into the safes (three), told him I’d have to see them first, they were pretty big and very old, probably 50-60’s vintage. Out of my league, so I told him to contact a local lock company, well they tell him something like $3k or they would haul them out for $1k, buddy says thanks, but no thanks. Calls me back again, I tell him I can get inside but they will all be scrap when finished as I’m going in the side, he says no problem. First safe we open has the M1 and I about crap my pants when I saw it, he doesn’t know anything about it so I tell him what little I know about Garands and this one being an M1D is special, do not sell it until you talk to me first. After about 5 hours we have all of them open, he and his wife are carrying out the contents while I’m trying to get the feeling back in hands and arms from running a concrete saw, swinging a sledgehammer and using an 8’ pry bar. They walk in and offer the M1D to me for helping, after probably 30 minutes of me telling them what it’s worth and that I didn’t do that much work…they refused in the end. There were some really nice pieces we pulled out of those safes and I was glad I got to help him in getting the gun his friend passed to him.

Picked up the FN FNS-9C I ordered from Classic Firearms today. Really happy with the condition of this police-trade-in! Came with three mags, 12 round, 12 round with pinky extension, and 17 rounder. Had to pay sales tax on this transaction, first time, so the tax man has closed that North Carolina-Texas internet benefit. Still a good deal at $440 total cost. Trigger feels real nice and has a short reset.

Kept telling myself I was gonna thin out the guns now that I'm retired and managed to sell a couple. Then found out that a friend of a friend was thinning out his guns as he is now about 76 years old. One of those he was thinning out was a decent, German WWII production P-38 with 2 magazines. Looked at it and we agreed on a price. So I bought it...... My excuse being that it won't take up much safe room and I already sold a couple long guns. It's a CYQ code which shows it was produced by Spreewerk. The Spreewerk factory was still intact when Germany surrendered and the production records survived. The serial number on this one indicates it was produced in May, 1943. It's a bringback; the guy I got it from purchased it years ago from the son of the G.I. who brought it back after the war. Also got the Nazi marked holster that it came here in. A P-38 was one of those "always wanted one" items for me and now there's one here to go along with the Luger that came home with one of my late uncles in 1945. IMG_9118 (4)_LI.jpg ..... Love the look of the red grips on the Spreewerk p-38s.. I think the colors just snap... AWESOME PISTOL/HOLSTER TO GET..

......... Both grips on this one are mint; a lot of P-38's I've seen have a chip in one or both grips. IIRC they are made of Bakelite and can be prone to chipping or cracking from a hard enough impact. Overall this gun seems to have led a pretty sheltered life by the looks of it, and will continue to do so as long as I have it. It might get out to fire 10 or 12 rounds about every 3 years or so, which is about the average for my Luger.

CZ P-07 Duty. Picked it up for $350 at a local pawn shop. Already had it out to the range, comfortable to shoot but can't really comment on accuracy as I was shooting pretty poorly yesterday.:(
