I know where you're at with it, been there.
It isn't even always the best gun you own.
The first glock i bought - november 2012- g30 sf, made my sig 1911 gsr irrelevant

I kept it for a couple years after that but just never used it, the capacity, reliability, accuracy and simplicity of the glock meant it went everywhere with me and always to the range. Liked it so much i bought a g21 gen4 a couple years later which led me to dump the 1911. The g30 was still better than the g21 so i bought a g20 gen 4. That made the 21 useless. I regret selling both of those guns from time to time but i just never used them and there was nothing they did the g30 didn't do better. Still love the g20- not many semis can do what it does- the vast majority can't even come close.
When i got a SRH toklat (seen in my avatar) it made a whole bunch of other handguns look pityful and there are a few i do need to get rid of (who needs a 9.5" barreled 44 mag when a 5" 454 carries easier and shoots just as well, with significantly more power?).
I just can't bring myself to do it yet, i've sold so many of my previous favorites that i am reluctant to sell any others. If it were a situation like yours, yeah i would sell the brig tac. Its a valuable gun and think of all the doo dads you could buy with the money. Maybe its the redundancy in caliber i can let go of more easily. But then again, i have 6 single shot 22s and goodluck getting a single one of them from me while im still breathing.

. My LGS had one under glass and I fondled it, and mouth breathed a little while doing so. I'm guessing the guy working the counter was a little disturbed.
