For those that frequent shooting ranges that charge a fee, what does it cost to go to a range in your neck of the woods?

Here (Central Coast of California) it's $20.00/day (08:00-4:00 PM) or $10.00/day for club members ($70.00/year.) That includes paper targets, along with steel targets.

I pay $175 a year and shoot as much as I like with no additional charges. Only target mounts are provided, I bring everything including the tape itself.

Outdoor range with solo bays for rifle, pistol, shotgun including trap and skeet and sporting clays; gold membership is $325 and daily fee is $0; silver membership is about $250 and $5/day or walk in and pay $20+/day

This is the lowest cost out door range. Rifle & Pistol to 300 yards. .

New members can join at any monthly meeting. Meetings are the 3rd Thursday of every month, new members should arrive by 6:30. $40 to join, $20/yr after that. New youth memberships are $6, $5/yr after that.

My club requires NRA membership (for insurance requirements), and collects $80 for first year and $60 for renewals, with a $20 credit for participating in a work party or volunteering as a safety adviser or newcomer orientation leader. So, $40 a year for covered firing points, 100 and 200 yard targets, also open pistol area from 7 yards to 50 yards. About 15 miles from my house, open probably 340 days a year, daylight hours.

$60 per year. 100, 50, 25, 10 yards outdoor range. Skeet/Trap course , indoor pistol range and club house with restaurant and bar. Very nice range in upper Wisconsin

Two membership choices
$185 includes member, spouse and children, shoot for free
or
$20 +$12 each time you shoot, friends/ family can shoot on your membership $12 for ea.

Central VA the outdoor ranges are almost all private save for WMA, where you can only shoot rifles and shotguns. The WMA's you either have to have a fishing or hunting permit or $10 to shoot with no time limit. The private ranges you either have to be a member or go with a member. To become a member theres generally a waiting list. Once your past that the fees start at $200 a year and some get quite pricey. Some have other cost factoring stipulations.

Indoor ranges are all $20 (the ones I've been too) for an hour with yearly memberships for unlimited access starting at around $600/yr.

I'm very fortunate to be able to shoot at home.

I used to belong to a nice private range/club that was $75/yr + $4/night but during the recession my work hours made it impossible to go.

The public range I occasionally use is well run but expensive ($19-20/hr). I'll probably go there Sunday or Monday. I haven't shot in a couple of years and still haven't shot the Cimarron Frontier I bought myself for Christmas yet.

The ranges I used to frequent were 12 per day for a 30 yd indoor. 20 for an outdoor that had a steel challenge, multiple private 50 yard, a rimfire steel challenge, a 100 yard rifle bay and combined100/200/300 rifle.
Memberships were 200-300 per year.

What does it cost to go to the range in your neck of the woods?

Primarily, my time to clean up after the pigs that trash the gravel pits giving shootin' folk a bad name, plus garbage disposal fees.

Not that that is okay......but being retired, this gives me something to do and I get paid in spent brass.:)

Sincerely, B.L.

Private gun club in Rhode Island. 2 to 3 year waiting list. $400.00 per year. I’m a life member, no dues.

Indoor: Max distance 50 feet. $10 1 hour time limit during peak hours. $15 for two sharing same lane. Half price 2 pm to 4 pm Mon-Thurs. $5 gun rentals. Free targets.
Outdoor: $15 per person for an all day pass. 50 foot pistol range. 50 yard steel targets and 100 yard long gun range. Range is on very rural property and partially built on a old creek bed. Road conditions may require a 4x4 vehicle during late winter and early spring.

In my neck of the woods all it cost is time. There are two ranges within 20 miles that are free to the public and they are also managed by gun clubs.

The local indoor ranges are $15-20 an hr, or $25-30 a month. We have a private short range 75yrd max for pistol and sighting in that is 35min away, private property rifle range out to 1200yrds 1.5hr away.
I would like to find something closer for shotguns and rifles that has a reasonable yearly fee.

Ditto. With contributions our range maintains the roads and surrounding property. We ask that users reside within our area but we don't police the requirement.

Member of two clubs here in the UK.

One costs £70 per year, plus £1.50 green fees per shoot (no time restrictions). I like to use this club on some weeknights after work. 25m indoor range with 10m air pistol range. Can use all types of pistol calibres.

Another club is £140 per year with no green fees per shoot. This is only open on Wednesday and Saturdays, so I use this on the weekend as I work Monday - Friday. 100m range where all calibres (except high muzzle energy) are permitted.

At time of writing, £1 ~ $1.30

Not counting the cost of the actual shooting, $40 a year for club membership plus NRA membership. During the summer the range is often closed on Saturday afternoon for various league matches.
Covered firing line, concrete benches, furnished clubhouse, 20, 25, 50, and 100 yard positions, and full time caretaker. Open dawn to dusk 51 weeks a year with range rules self policed.

Nice indoor range $160 per year. One outdoor $150 per year. Another outdoor $8 a day if you are a member which cost nothing. And all of these ranges have no time limit. You must provide your own targets. They also allow you to shoot your own reloads and they all have range safety officers that watch things closely, which I like. Two of the ranges are county owned. All three are well maintained.
