magazine drops

You are talking about maybe a 5' (ish) vertical drop- any mag that wouldn't stand up to that probably isn't worth having. As far as the dirt, wipe it off. If debris gets inside of it, blow it out with compressed air. Or go crazy and take it apart and clean it, if that is an option. Not sure what gun/magazines we are talking about.
 
My Shield came with two magazines that looked really rough. Nothing at all as polished a finish as others I own. I will drop them a lot after reading these posts. I had no idea how much stuff a person can acquire; and quickly, with this shooting business. I might have to buy a shed.

I don't have a Shield, but I have dropped quite a few S&W M&P magazines. They stand up to it just fine.
