Ruger Carbine

I would rather they build upon the previous Gen 1 PC9 and make a 9mm M1 Carbine look alike.

Anyone have or shot one of the newer Ruger PCC with the collapsible stock and free float handguard ? I assume they shoot and handle as well as the original. I have not seen one locally, but see they are now in stock on Gun Genie, and listed at Bud's, etc. Wondering if they are worth the $100ish more in cost ? Is there a better choice that the Ruger for the money ?

Thanks,

-Jeff

I have not shot one of those but wish I had waited. I would rather have the adjustable stick, Don't really care about the handguard.

If Ruger made a PC that would accept Beretta mags or someone sold an adapter that would allow me to use them I'd buy one today.

I "bit the bullet" and bought a PC4 yesterday. It seems well put together with a good fit on the receiver and barrel. I really liked the stock extensions included so you can adjust the stock to fit your personal preference. I do wish there was an accessory rear sight to fit on the rail so the sight radius was longer but I will probably put a low power scope on it eventually. Hopefully the snow will stop soon so I can go out to the range and see how well it will explode full soda cans with the ammo I loaded last night.

What do you guys think of a Ruger carbine 9 mm as a first gun? Would it serve well to teach people how to shoot, and also have some 'legs', in that people would stick with it?

I bought the 10/22 as the first gun and it's ok, but it's kind of boring to shoot. I don't shoot it much anymore.
Seems like a great idea! 9mm ammo has never been this affordable in years, plus the PCC has low recoil, because it is heavy(downside)
upside is, women, children, and elderly ,new shooters , can all handle this gun without difficulty.

Does anyone make a wood or laminate stock for the PCC yet?

I like the carbine, but am trying to get away from the "black gun" look. If no one has anything on the market I'll go with the "flat dark earth."

Nature Boy,

I have "Polyushka Polye (Russian spelling: Полюшко Поле), Meadowlands" playing for you on You Tube now. Katyusha is next...

Folks I just emailed Tech Sights, let's see what he says.....

… and their response....

"I’ve been planning to make a sight for the Ruger PC9. It’s on my to do list, but I haven’t been able to do it yet. We don’t have a sight that will fit yet. It will take some time to get it done when I finally get to work on it.

They are great little rifles and would be even better with the aperture sight on the receiver. Hopefully we can make a sight for the PC9 in the near future. Thank you for your email and for using our sights."
