Sunday I took both Glocks to the range. I shot 40 & 357 Sig out of the G35 and 10mm & 9X25 Dillon out of the G20.

My wife, on the other hand brought her CZ97, her GP100 and her Chiappa Rhino. What we didn't bring, was her ammo..... dammit. :cuss:

This week was getting ready for deer season. Sighted and set the ballistic turret for my Forbes 25-06 with110 gr ELD

Finally made it to the range Saturday after a long time away. Shot a new Bergara Premier HMR Pro in 6.5 PRC and a "Remage" 700 in 22-250 Ackley Improved. Very satisfied with both.

Sunday was a good day...everybody brought new stuff!
-1941 Johnson
-S&W .380 E-Z
-the old-school base rifle for my Israeli AR carbine clone
-newly scoped M1A.
A good time was had by all.

Hi...
Pretty typical weekend range trip with my son.
We shot a large variety of handguns...four different .44Mag, five or six .45Colt, three .41Mag, half a dozen .357Mag, two 10mm and half a dozen 9mm.
Also shot my Cimarron 1873 lever action rifle in .45Colt and my son's Win 94 in .30/30.
Highlight was shooting my Dan Wesson .375SuperMag. Twenty rounds down range...averaged about 2" groups for five shots at 25yds. Going to bump the powder charge up a little for our next trip and see if that tightens up the 25 yd group size.

Sig P6 and the CZ 'PR' plus the SAR-1 "AK".

VZ 2008 (58) owned by a new shooting buddy. He's used over 1,000 rds. with no issues. He might consider trading it for the SAR-1.

About two days from now, my first striker-fired handgun: the Walther P99 AS, which actually has a decocker and DA first pull if desired, or the AS (Anti Stress) pull, which is a long, light trigger pull resulting in single action pressure.

Shot a beaver off my bridge with my 9mm 1911 last night.

Luckily I don't have that problem anymore...when we 1st bought this place complete with 9 acre pond I was killing 3 or 4 a year of the &^^** things. Got one with my CCW 1911 while fishing, the rest were shotgun at night and a .223 I bough just for beavers and muskrats.

As for shooting this week:
SAT was he monthly 3 gun, so shotgun, AR15 & CZ75 Accu-Shadow Lite
Sunday was some deer hunting practice, so Nosler M48 with 2.2-12X Leupold
Tuesday night was IDPA, so back to the CZ75 Accu-Shadow Lite

Range trip yesterday.

Brought the .45 longslide project gun. First round into the bull, but it didn't eject. Second round into the bull, same problem. A quick inspection showed some bozo had forgotten to put the ejector in last time he'd stripped the gun down. Put it back in the bag.

Brought the friend's Hi Point .40 I'd cleaned. It was full of some kind of nasty congealed lubricant. Loading the magazine was troublesome; it made crunchy/scratchy noises. The gun wouldn't feed anything from the mag at all. And I wasn't able to unload the mag; the last couple of rounds may require a screwdriver to remove. I suspect a magazine problem...

Brought the .40 1911. I built a .40 top end for one of the .45s and I've been chasing some feeding problems. This time it blew the bottom out of a case, blew the right grip panel apart, and jammed the gun up hard. The bullet hit the bullseye though.

20-mile trip, $15 range fee, three guns, three shots. Not my most successful day at the range, even though every shot was a bullseye...

They don't call this one "beaver creek" fer nothing.

Tested some 9mm loads today. Put 180 rounds through my P30SK and 320 through my CZ Shadow 2.

Found a nice accurate load.

Went out yesterday morning, figured I would sneak in a trip before the cold front came through.

Took along a T/C Compass in .243, Mossberg 464, Ruger 10/22, Rossi M511 .22 revolver, Rossi Plinker .22 revolver, and a new to me CZ P-07 Duty.

The Compass shot well, got the scope to zero easily. The scope on the Mossberg failed, so I pulled it off and tried out the irons, they are a bit off and will need some adjustment. Both Rossi's shot well, at least by my standards. After shooting the CZ, I pulled my target off the backer and hid it......:cuss:

The 10/22 never made it out of the case, ran out of time and the range was getting crowded at that point.

All in all a pretty good day at the range.

250 rounds from my glock 20-10mm
50 rounds from my glock 42-380 acp
100 rounds from my glock 30-45 acp
66 rounds from super redhawk - 454 casull
Did ok, that freaking 454 has me working through a flinch :what:.

Stainless Savage flat back 116 30-06. Gone through a cpl boxes of 175g cast bullets loaded to around 22-2300 fps. They will really get your attention.

Sunday the Mrs. & I spent a couple of hours at the Sac Valley range. I brought my P226 with 40 & 357 Sig barrels, my shield 9 and my Kimber 10mm. She brought her M&P9c, her CZ (97B I think??) her Chiappa Rhino, her Kimber Carry II and her Ruger GP100

Sorting brass afterwards I had out 5 different brass. 9, 10, 40, 45, 357 Sig and thankfully the 38 Special takes care of it's self!
