Last I heard nearly a grand, but I haven't priced them in a while. It may have been a temporary spike in price. Check gun broker.

Tough to comp in general as they come up less and less frequently these days.

Then, there're regional price fluctuations to contend with.

As above, gotta figure flirting with 4 figures but now that SA M1As are easy to get, could be as low as 850 or so.

As a dealer, i wouldn't give but 450 or less for one unless it was truly special but then too, I have issues with the source nation so that would color mine and other's opinions somewhat. Not starting a debate, merely stating a market fact.

Todd.

What are these going for now a days? Its set up for long range shooting.

A friend bought a Norinco for use in service rifle matches back in the late 80's-early '90's and had issues with the elevation serrartions on receiver wearing down quickly. He found a hardened aftermarked "washer" that fit under elevation knob when elevation knob would run down w/recoil. Don't know how common this was, but if thinking about purchasing, I'd take a good look at the sight. AFAIK this was his only issue.

I remember when those things came out, they were like $400. Of course, that was also when SKS rifles were $70 and mosins. SMLE's, Yugo M48's, etc. were all under $100. Then again, "pre-ban" AR's started at 1K. Amazing how the market changes.

They actually made a great base gun for building into a match rifle with different USGI parts that were available thru the mid 90s . Things like: barrels, bolts, action bars, gas cylinders and pistons and trigger components benefited greatly with USGI up grades and fitting. . For lower expectations and round counts they were pretty good , generally. Guy at Gunsite used to shoot them until something wore out or failed then up grade . I saw a couple make over 1000 rounds without a problem.

Springfield -$200 or 250 assuming replaced with US bolt, that is what I paid about 7-8 yrs ago.
