Multiples:
.22
9mm
.223
12ga
20ga
.357

I made the decision long ago to only buy common guns in common calibers----makes life so much easier when it comes to getting parts, accessories and affordable ammo.

Ye be talking Pistol Carbine Combos, like the 5.7/PS90, the Beretta CX4 Storm, and 92FS, which not only share the same caliber, they share mags,
and the 629 & 1894, in 44 Mag.

22s and 32s yes, but not really the other stuff. I have 2 .357s which are vastly different in function but are built to the same purpose.

22s...
Single shot twist barrel
Single action revolver
Double action hand ejector revolver
Double action top break revolver
Semiauto pistol
Single shot bolt rifle
Detachable box mag bolt rifle
Tube fed lever action
Tube fed semiauto
Detachable box fed semiauto

very diverse

32 revolvers
Hand ejector
Hand ejector
Hand ejector
Top break

kinda specialized. Wish I could find or build a single action 32 long

I must not be much of a shooter... The only multiples I have are;

22 rimfire.
32-20 (revolver and carbine)
30-06
20 gauge shotgun.

At one time I had three 45-70 rifles. The Marlin I traded to a certain unnamed idiot that shall remain my brother a family relic handgun. The "trap door" was being borrowed by my dad so much I finally told him to keep it.

No love for the 40 S&W...

I have two Savage Axis rifles in 223rem. Reason behind this is when they first introduced the Axis rifle I jumped on one for $200 at Wal-Mart and it has a terrible trigger and standard barrel. 3yrs later a large mom and pop chain around here started offering an Axis II with heavy barrel and accu trigger. I jumped on one of those due to the heavy barrel and accu trigger and had intentions of selling the standard model. I had already put a $200 scope on the standard model and knew I would lose my rear end on it selling it to a store so held onto it for awhile. I then took the HB Axis coyote hunting in hill country one time and said I'll keep the standard model for a coyote/walking rifle. I haven't coyote hunted in almost 10yrs. I still debate on selling that rifle but the girlfriend enjoys shooting so we shoot the 223 together (she gets the better rifle) and one time the HB needed work done by savage in the middle of woodchuck season, so the standard helped out.

I one time had two rifles in 45-70 but my brother offered me what I paid for the one rifle and scope so I sold it to bring down the cost of my Marlin. I used to own 3 50 cal Muzzleloaders because I decided to buy a Nikon ML scope for $200 and found the rifle and scope used for $250. The rifle was a huge upgrade so I won that deal. I was then given a CVA Buckhorn that is so pitted and rusted its not even worth messing with.

I own two 22lr. Again I went with a bare bones Mark II because it was $100 and I never owned a 22lr. I hate that rifle due to 8lbs trigger and weird stock so upgraded to a Mark II FV and nice scope. $200 for the package with black Friday deal. I almost sold that rifle during the summer until the GF asked to go shooting with me and picked up the FV (first time shooting a rifle) and began blowing 2'' blocks apart at 100yards. I enjoyed shooting with her, so I am keeping it for the moment.

IMO its too much of a PITA to own multiple guns in the same caliber. My Axis rifles need different loads so cant interchange and when you want to use a certain rifle you must decide which one to take out.

I have several 9mm pistols, different brands but all semi-auto. I also have a few rifles in the same caliber. A few different 223's, an auto or two and a bolt action or two. The same in 308 and 30-06.

I have four pistols in .40 S&W, two in 9mm, and two in .45 Colt.

.22 LR is covered by a pistol, one lever gun, and two semi-auto rifles.

12 ga is covered by one pump, one semi-auto, and on single-shot.

Only rifle caliber I have in multiples are two AR-15s in .223.

Now: Sig P225 ('87), P6 ('01), Walther P99 'AS', CZ 75D 'PCR'. I just sold the pair of Sig P228s; one was a pristine, seldom-touched hostage.
Also have four imported Sport Utility Rifles in 7.62x39.

The chamberings are Not the reason I have those guns. They were acquired because of the guns' designs/reliability.

About three years ago had four Enfield #4s and two #5s plus five handguns in 9x18 Mak (either actual Maks or Polish P-83 and CZ-82).

How many have multiple guns in the same caliber?
Are they similar in operation, in other words, semi-auto or revolver, etc., or are they dissimilar mechanisms?
For example, I have two lever rifles and same caliber revolvers, one "pair" in .357 and one in .44 Mag.
One .22 bolt action and one semi auto rifle, one .22 semi auto, two .22 semi auto pistols and a .22 revolver.

I don’t have any repeat calibers which sucks from a reloading standpoint...

I have a lever gun in .357 mag and I think I need a Ruger vaquero to match.

I also have a revolver (super Blackhawk) in 44 mag and need a long gun to match.

I’d like to stop acquiring more calibers so I can just stick to reloading for what I’ve already got but I like exploring new ones. Think I’ve finally reached a point where I’m happy with the breadth and now I can go for depth.

Let's see - a .22 LR bolt-action & semi-auto, and a .22 LR revolver. A .22 Mag bolt-action, the aforementioned revolver (with a cylinder change), & a semi-auto pistol. The only other pairing is a .357 Mag revolver and a lever-action rifle to go with it. All the rest are "onesies" (.32-20, .32 ACP, .380 ACP, .25 ACP, .243, and 7.62x39).
