yes, I make shanks, shiv's and knaf's for EDC, or whatever I'm asked for.

The 7" kanmuri - otoshi blade tanto is my EDC. Combat boot leather wrap over black walnut, held on with forged nails and Artillery collar backing device
The wooden saya tanto is forged san mai, a beater EDC utlity knife.
Kaiken's are just wicked sharp EDC/Barbecue Knaf that are tough, shaving sharp, and will definitely cut.

I just bought a Microtech Ultratech yesterday. Tanto point, OD green, so that's in my right front.

I have a Leatheman Rebar in my right jacket pocket. I have my work-beater Spyderco Resilience in my left jacket.

My keys always wear a Gerber Shard.

I have a, let's call it an homage, of a Leatherman Tread my wife bought me for father's day on my right wrist. Not technically a knife, but it does have a line cutter so I guess that counts

Usually mine too. Sabenza or Strider with a SAK with a solitaire magliight. Astounds me as I get older, how often I use that flashlight.
Funny how I almost never think of an SAK as; "a knife in my pocket".

That was just a bit of ribbing and humor of course. But it’s quite surprising California is so lax in their knife laws.

I don’t actually share my state locality for a few legit reasons. However, PM incoming.

Crud. Ok, yes words matter. I wasn’t trying to imply that at all. So let me rephrase.

Given the restrictive gun laws in California, I find it a bit surprising that similarly restrictive knife laws are not in place. However I don’t believing restricting a law abiding citizen’s ability or right to effectively defend themself with a weapon should ever be infringed upon.

I hope that clears it up.

You liking that honey badger? I got one a couple weeks ago, carried it a couple times and the closed detent quit. It opens up on its own now, other than that i liked it.

Same knife that’s been there for about 10 years now, a Spyderco Paramilitary 2.

Still in work clothes, and knives are a no-no so a caseXX peanut is it.

I'm getting ready for work and this is the knife that I will be carrying.

I think it was made by Schrade for Craftsman Tools. I remember buying it but I don't remember how long ago. I know it was over 20 years though.

I bought it to keep in my toolbox at work because it was $10 cheaper than a comprable Buck 110 and it was under the Craftsman warranty. It probably still is but since they quit making them I have no idea what they'd replace it with and whatever they did replace it with would probably be some cheap Chinese crap.

I think I've been carrying it every night at work for the last 10 years.



I have no idea how long I've had this. It's obviously a Gerber Multitool, I'm pretty sure it's GI issue because it has the sight tool for an M16. My wife bought it as part of a kit that also included an M16 cleaning kit and a red lensed Gerber flashlight that came in a pouch with Molle attachments on it. She said the guy that she bought it from had a dozen of them and he was selling them because he was getting out of the Army. She paid 25 bucks for it which is less than the price of the multi-tool so I'm sure it was stolen. I carry it every night at work.

No, but i guess i should. I got the 8Cr13MoV honey badger and didn't pay a whole lot so i didn't expect it to be as good as it is, it just broke quick. It's a nice knife , i may be able to get it fixed/replaced but don't really expect it.

No weapons at work; I'm required to be completely defenseless. However, now that I'm home and working in the garage, and almost any other time, SAK One-Handed Trekker w/ 1/2 serrated blade.

I' really surprised at how many people are carrying multiple knives.

I have a single blade folding ceramic pocket knife. I pretty much carry one of these all the time any more, because they're untouchable for holding a razor sharp edge. For straight forward cutting, awesome. But ceramic blades are brittle and not suitable for anything except straight forward cutting: carving wood and prying are definitely NOT activities for these blades.
