I have been using KKM/Lone Wolf conversion barrels for my Glock 22/23/27 for many years and recently added Tactical Kinetics with good results. They have all been reliable.Which conversion barrels do you prefer?
As to replacing extractor, 40S&W extractor is long enough to engage the rim of 9mm cases and extract reliably and I haven't had any issues with my conversions.
With Glock conversions, you only need to replace and barrel and maybe the magazine. I tell people to first try using 40S&W magazines for 9mm and if they experience feeding/chambering issues to buy 9mm magazines.
As to preference, for general range blasting, I would say go with the cheapest conversion barrel as my $80 Tactical Kinetics barrel has worked reliably with good accuracy. My Lone Wolf barrels I paid $100 for have also worked reliably as $180 KKM barrel.
But if you are looking for greater accuracy, KKM barrel with slower twist rate of 1:20 has produced slightly greater accuracy over the years compared to 1:16 of Lone Wolf (typical of aftermarket match barrels) and 1:10 of Tactical Kinetics (Glock uses 1:9.84)
If you are looking to reload, this reference thread on leade length and max/working OAL specific to bullet type may help you with your barrel selection - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...let-max-working-oal-col-for-reference.848462/
KKM conversion barrel showing longer leade/free bore to allow longer OAL, like for 9mm Major
Lone Wolf conversion barrel showing shorter leade which requires shorter working OAL for some bullets
Tactical Kinetics conversion barrel showing shorter leade which requires shorter working OAL for some bullets
