New glock coming

I'm a glock fan. I have Sig, Smith,Colt, Beretta, Ruger, CZ, IMI, HK, FN, etc etc. But I carry Glock over all of them. 27 if concealed. 22 if OWB. And often a 20 if im in the woods. But there isnt a company in existence that I'd get any less excited over a "new product". I bet It will be available in black. Square, very familiar and very utilitarian. The most innovative thing I recall them ever doing since the 80s was adding finger grooves........then un-adding them 20 years later. That or changing the slide serrations from straight to curved....then un-changing them. Or maybe adding an extra crosspin or two.....then un-adding them..

Perhaps they will add an anchor to the slide and double the price.....like some people.

something big is coming". A play on words?

But the picture on thier site is a guy backpacking/ hiking in the mountains so I wouldn't guess a 365/hellcat clone. Certainly could be though. I'm guessing a gen5 10mm. Some are thinking a carbine but I wouldn't hold my breath there. Could be a new backpack or entrenching tool

My money is a P365 / Hellcat similar capacity & size pistol.

You gotta figure all the manufacturers are going to get on board with that trend before too long. There's nothing particularly unique about polymer striker pistols or packaging them around a common round, and more rounds in a smaller size seems to be one way to convince people they need to buy another carry gun.

Maybe they’re going to start putting decent metal 3 dot sights on their guns
I don’t like 3-dot sights, so I end up replacing the sights on every handgun I buy. So I like the crappy plastic sights that come on Glocks, that way when I replace them I know I didn’t pay much extra for a gun with factory metal 3-dot night sights that I’m going to take off anyway.

The email I got from Glock shows a lady wearing a backpack cheering at the ocean. The link shows a guy with a backpack looking over a desert valley and to the side is either crosshairs or compass points. The words “Be a part of the journey.” Are shown in the link...

I think they are going to announce something that has nothing to do with any of this stuff...

The announcement will probably be something I can’t buy in California anyway.

I don't know, their response to the P365 was the 43X, which had less rounds and was substantially bigger than the P365. Fail.

Maybe a Gen 5 in something other than 9mm? But the backpacking dude is an odd backdrop/theme for their announcement in winter. Perhaps a Gen 5 in .45 acp and 10mm like mentioned before? The G29 and G20 are arguably the gold standard in outdoors carry in polymer pistols, so the backpacking/hiking motif would suggest that. And they said it is something Big, so I'm guessing a 10mm, especially with the recent surge in popularity of the round.

Maybe they’re going to be made of 100% recycled drinking straws that have been pried from the bellies of rescued turtles?

The full grip short slide would not be my choice. Like the 19x. It's backward, it should be short grip with long barrel, it's hardly more difficult to carry a longer barrel but very difficult to conceal something with a full length grip. Shorter barrel for what? Faster draw? They could keep that idea.

Hmmmm, perhaps they are announcing their newfound "wokeness," ceasing making evil guns, and they are going to contract with Tesla to make polymer car bodies.

A stinkin 22lr already dagnabit. I personally know 4 guys who have built polymer80 guns and all of them used their factory Glock lower along with a conversion kit to make a standalone 22lr pistol. There is a market. People are begging for it. But alas, all they seem to know how to do is take a short slide and make it a long slide, or take a compact grip and make it a long grip. I do have to say I liked the 43x I saw recently and might eventually start looking on the used market for one.
