I've been thinking of getting myself a Christmas present this year. A few years ago a shooting buddy let me shoot his Glock 10 mm. I rather liked it. I'm trying to convince myself it would not be all that bad to have another caliber to feed.

I haven't quite convinced myself one way or the other yet.

Grasp your left wrist with your right hand and twist. That oughta do it. :D

I know when it comes to guns, just a little arm twisting is all I need...

I have been considering a Glock 10mm myself.
In the PRK (People’s Republic of California) we can only get Gen 3 Glocks but when I read about this one I actually wanted to kick myself for moving back here.

The 10MM is the one of the few calibers I don’t own. Had a 10MM Colt Delta Elite years ago. That pistol nearly beat itself to death. After chasing the slide latch / thumb safety plunger tube down the range for the third time, I re-staked the tube to the frame and traded it away. The 10MM round is darn stout. The Glock is one of the more successful pistols in this caliber. For some strange reason the model 29 is one of the two most accurate pistols Glock makes. The other one is the model 21. No one can figure out why either. I can certainly attest to the accuracy of the model 21 Glock. The two I own will consistently shoot sub 2” groups at 25 yards. Glock doesn’t make any junk. They’re easy to work on and there are a wide range of after market upgrades available for them. Go for it!

I don't like Glocks, but I heartily endorse adding 10mm... especially if you reload. 10mm is to semi-auto handloading as .357 is to revolver handloading.... you can make it be an incredible range of things.

Better go buy a box of 10mm ammo. Then it would be a financial necessity to buy a pistol to put it in.

I have nearly purchased a Glock 30 because I found a 21 magazine in my cabinet I had forgotten I had. Despite that the 21/30 doesn't really fit my hands as well as a 1911, I feel like I'm wasting a magazine;)

I would be on board for a 20. I dont have a 10mm, and it seems perfectly suited for it. Even if it didn't fit my hand perfectly, the 20 seems like the most cost effective way to get into a durable 10mm. I can honestly see myself buying for a specific trip out west where I want more rounds than the .357 wheel gun with a bit more punch.

I strongly recommend a Springfield XDm 10mm. I'm a 1911 guy through and through but after spending some time shooting my son's XDm 5.25" 10mm I would choose it hands down over the Glock. The XD has a far superior trigger, period.

In my opinion, the XDm also has better ergonomics than the Glock.

Recoil with Buffalo Bore Outdoorsman 220gr hardcast ammo was unremarkable when compared to a Rock Island TAC Ultra FS which has noticeably more recoil and muzzle flip.

If I ever got the hankering for a 10mm, I'd get one of these XDm pistols.

Realistically the options without going wild on price are Glock, EAA Witness, 1911, XD. Take your pick, the other options from Sig among others are about double the cost of any only list. Top of the heap on what I have read about are Glock for function and reliability, Ruger 1911, then the witness and XD are about tied but it’s a close race amongst all of those.

One of my, only two, regretted sold Glocks was that damn 10mm.

What the SAM HELL was I thinking?

Buy it and note this.
Most 10mm factory ammo is watered down.
Hot is still out there.
It's VERY easy to re-load for.
It'll down most anything in North America.
It looks and handles like any old mild mannered Glock.

However, you may find yourself wanting to buy either a late 70's Trans Am or a Fauxrrari made from a Corvette.... Not that there's anything wrong with that!:D

Per Masaad Ayube, the G30 is also one of the most accurate Glocks. Good to hear the G29 is as well. I know both my G20 &21 shoot pretty darn well.

Really like my G20 and G29 and 10mm is becoming a favorite cartridge of mine. If search around and buy when find good sales doesn’t have to be much more than 45 cost for ammo. I’m too lazy to reload. My other 9’s and 45’s I own are now XD’s and I probably would have bought an XD as 1st 10mm had they had one size of G29, but they don’t. I then bought the G20 to have its big brother. I like the Gen4 Glocks about same as my XD’s so I’d recommend either. Now GO GET ONE! 7F56F31F-1C39-4893-B042-6C33E235AD6A.jpeg

If you already shoot 40 S&W, then a 10 mm Glock makes perfect sense. I have shot many thousands of rounds of 40S&W thru my G29 and G20 without any issues; it’s nice to have options.
