My latest CCI-450 from Powder Valley on the right, the packaging I am used to from a local vendor on the left

Has CCI changed the packaging recently?

I wonder why, and can only suppose marketing thought it was a good idea. CCI is a big force in primers, so this had to be a big decision to change the look.

The executive decision makers came to a conclusion that, italic font and a different shade of blue was an order....

“The CCI logo was solid, but it no longer reflected the changing demographics of our customer base,” Vanderbrink said. “We have a lot of new customers, many of whom are younger and more active. We felt the new logo should reflect that change.”

They did away with the American flag on the front so I give the new style:thumbdown:

I also like the bigger font on the old package, better for those of us who are visually challenged;)

I'm backwards, which hand is the left oneo_O;)

I like to date the box when I buy them so the lighter blue will work well for me.

A coffee creamer I like drastically changed its packaging last summer. It took several weeks before I discovered it was still on the shelves. They then went back to the old package a week or two ago. Package changes can backfire.

That sounds like a design change looking for a reason.

It looks like the Winchester is a bit lighter blue.

But, who knows what the internet does to colors.

yeah, when I opened the box from Powder Valley and saw the new packaging, I felt younger just looking at it. A little orange stripe is a veritable fountain of youth.

oh well, at least it will make it a little easier to keep track of which primers I should use up first - FIFO and all that.

Hmmm, Must be a recent change. I got a case of them from PV a couple months back and they are old packaging.
