Not sure where to post this;

I'm grateful for:
The Constitution.
My current President.
Being a boomer (tail end) and knowing what freedom is.
Being a boomer and having my dad (RIP) teach me to shoot my first rifle (Daisy CO2) and pistol (Colt 32acp) in the backyard of his Phoenix home.
Being an American who has lived and worked overseas and has witnessed gun restrictive countries but here I can buy as much ammo and weapons as my wallet allows.

I could go on but would hope that we give politics and reality a break as we celebrate one of two uniquely American Holidays.

Christmas lights are blinking as a snow storm goes through my neck of the desert, tomorrow my GF and I will feast on Turkey, Cranberry sauce, candied carrots and Blueberry pie. It's my first home cooked Thanksgiving meal in over two decades and it's cooked by a woman who likes being a woman and knows how to cook and has never been anything other than understanding when I sheepishly tell her I brought home another toy.

For all of the above, and much more, I am a grateful American.

Find me GUILTY on judgement day, Dear Lord...

I M guilty and admit it, of constantly being thankful of my current station, family & friends, good neighbors, good health, my mental isn't slipping as fast as I expected (LoL), a little pocket change. And the biggie, things are going to go wrong on occasion. But for me, things seem to go wrong the right way. Like, :eek:flat tire in the drive on my day off.

SMILE:) everybody and enjoy your holiday weekend:thumbup: and don't forget, take a kid out shooting!!

Can't add a whole hell of a lot to the OP's list and resoundingly second it.
I'll add a DAMN fine wife who became a U.S. Citizen last year.
One who is not only tolerant of my appreciation of firearms but decidedly borders on codependency status in the same.

Too, the wonderful climates, both meteorological and political in Arizona. The beauty and breadth of the landscape from our home in Scottsdale to our retreat in the White Mountains.

What it says about my corner of the world that I can toss a pistol in a pocket or sling a rifle to a shoulder and shoot most anyplace that it does NOT say that I can't.

My bible, my ballots, my DD214 and my marriage license.... Thankful for the lot.

Todd.

Thank you God, for my fellow Americans, whatever their race, color, religion, creed, beliefs, sexual preferences, as long as they place God, family and country at the top of their priorities.

True story; my dad's life was saved in Korea by a fellow Black Soldier of whom he forgot his name but had a unique piece of Turquoise and Silver made for him. He never found that man or if he even survived the war but I never forgot the emotion my dad conveyed. That's what America is, that's what Americans are. My own life has been saved many times over by my Muslim compadres in the great sandbox and true Americans come in many forms.

Americans stands for all that is right even when our politicians don't.

God bless America.

I was just watching one of those "Scariest Police Shootouts" shows.....

Reminded me how thankful I am for the highly professional, generally honorable and incorruptable, and largely selfless and courageous Law Enforcement Officers which we are blessed with in this country.

To all the men and women in blue, black, and green who put themselves at the sharp end every day to protect this greatest nation, thank you and may God bless and protect you.
