Sweet, G19 still great today one of the best. Good on you helping out WWP.

I havent had time to even start enjoying the 1911 I recently got...now this.
My wife and me are gonna discuss what to do as we have more guns then planned for sure.

We have so far ... 2 shield 9mm, a smith 637,a rock island 1911,and now this glock 19 gen 4.

Financially were ok with money for Christmas. I just dont know if I should sell one of them or not. I'll be honest I really dont wanna get rid of any of them.
I would have never thought a month ago I'd go from a few shields to this.

If financially you are ok, don't sell any of them. They will be worth the same two years from now as they are today. And you may regret your decision when you have to pay full price again for one of them. It would be another story if you needed the money. But there just isn't much movement on the value you can get out of any of those that you mentioned. The Shield pricing is at an all time low, when you can get a new one with rebate for $200 online right now. Your Smith will not depreciate, your RI 1911 was already a very affordable pistol which likely won't lose much value, and your G19 will always hold it's value, as glocks do, they are a known commodity with a robust aftermarket.

That's only 5 guns, I'd keep all of them. If you do get rid of any the 1911 is the one I'd sell because to me it would be the least functional of the bunch. The Glock 19 fills a hole in that list of handguns so I'd definitely keep it.

Good for you. Hell of a return on your outlay.
I'm surprised Wounded Warrior had a connection with firearm in a charity event. Have they reversed their attitude on this?

Todd.

I dont believe it was officially sponsored by them. There was several charities besides them. That's just the one my wife and me entered. Honestly we just were there for the food and drinks and just to have a good time.

Congrats, lucky night with a great cause. Sell nothing yet, get ready for second Glock anytime soon.

Regardless of how big a collection is or how you feel about Glocks in general, IMHO, you can always make good use of a versatile & reliable pistol like a Glock 19.

I've shot glocks but never owned one until now. I definitely like the feel of the glock 19 ALOT. It's most definitely staying with me. After talking with Kim were keeping everything. I'm allowed another gun purchase come February .

I would have never thought I would own so many S&W Revolvers, so I know the feeling, but you can't have too many guns. It's not possible. I've tried to trim my herd down, but I don't have the ability or will power. I recently went to a gun show, left home with 3 guns to get rid of and I did, but came home with 8! See something you can't live without and the price is right and it just happens.

Well that sure beats a poke in the eye! Congratulations.

As far as keeping or selling, this is THR and we're a big ol' bunch of enablers. Given what you own, I'd keep 'em all. If you just have to sell one, I sure wouldn't sell the G19 without shooting it. IMHO, the G19 and its competitors are, overall, the most versatile pistols on the market. Large enough to shoot well, but small enough to conceal. Also, I don't think a few hundred rounds through a basic G19 will have much of an impact on its value. This isn't a Gen 1 we're talking about. A Gen 4 may be a collector's item one day, but it's not yet.

ETA: Drat! I missed this part: "....After talking with Kim were keeping everything...."

Excellent!
