There’s a lot of temptation out there on Black Friday. Today I looked through glass at a Sig P365 priced at $399.99. I could’ve walked out of that Cabela’s using points and not spending a dime with a brand new gun.

But I was strong in interest of other desires.

What did you want to buy today, that you didn’t.

I wanted to buy a project 1917 revolver for $350, but didn’t. Have other projects to be finished first.

IR lasers. phone skope. digital level. fnp 45 tactical (already got one)

So far a Walther PPS M2 LE edition for $219. I have absolutely no need for that gun but my wife carries the regular version so I know how nice of a shooter it is and it's been hard to pass up. But I did.

Back to shopping for another half hour....

I wanted to buy cheap AK mags. Huge silly piles for cheap, just like the last year or two.

Nope. I only saw the fancy PMAGS for $20-something in quantities of 10 and some curiously expensive Tapcos. Not this year, I guess.

I enjoyed looking at all the ads and discounts. I did buy a Beretta APX Carry simply because it was on my lists anyway. I did NOT buy any ammunition. None could beat the price of TargetSports anyway. The Ads are interesting to see how they market and where the marketing is. The sales show where the cost of the gun is usually at and gives a good idea when to buy later at the price point. Rebates in the future along with the sale price point of today gives a good indication for later purchase.
Some really nice sales, but as far as firearms, not really anything that you cannot get down the road and rebates usually offer the best buy IMO.. There is only so far down the seller can go .
I did not buy a lot of things because of budget and Christmas right down the road.

Did not go out on Black Friday to any sales. Did go Hunting. My God, the traffic at 5am getting out of town was insane. Everyone headed to the sales. I should have factored that in before leaving.

I didn’t buy anything and the main reason was the 250+ emails I received in just the morning yesterday. Some vendors sending 5 and 6 all before noon. Made me mad enough to keep all of my money.
No need to get mad. If you scroll down to the bottom of those emails, in the small print, there's a link that you can click to unsubscribe.

It's a long list but no big ticket items so far. I have to retire in a couple of years and in doing so I will be selling my current home and moving to buy another, so I keep reminding myself everything I buy today is something I'll have to pack into a moving van in the not too distant future.

so I keep reminding myself everything I buy today is something I'll have to pack into a moving van in the not too distant future.

Sounds like my life story (10 moves so far and still counting), but somehow it has never kept me from adding more guns, accessories, and ammo to my collection; just more safes and storage containers!

I am still lusting after a LabRadar and midway has them on sale but I cannnot justify the expense with my modest skills.

Also I saw nothing in the dozens of emails I got that talked about sales that soundly remotely great or even good.

PSA had some screaming deals on AR’s. I passed

We did get a screaming deal on a new fridge and dish washer (1/2 price at Lowe’s) and a new TV (55” latest, greatest) for a little over $400

I hate to do this to you, but the LabRadar is great. I really like mine and use it frequently.

Buy once, cry once.

"DO NOT CLICK ON UNSUBSCRIBE" I just had the "Geek Squad" clean out my computer and he told me, "never click on the unsubscribe link".
It shows the mailer they've got a live fish, and they'll just keep on sending more junk e-mails plus, they'll sell your e-mail address to everybody else.
Just keep deleting the junk e-mails and eventually they'll go away when nobody answers.
