I'll bet if you take a magnet to those light brass cheap shells, you'll find out they are steel base hulls; and if your 870s are Expresses and not Wingmaster, they are known for rough chambers allowoing steel hulls to expand and stick. The solution is to wrap some 0000 steel wool around a dowel in a cordless drill and use a little oil to smooth the chamber

Yessir, express magnum police trade ins, I'll give that a shot, thanks!

Good lunch break today! The choke and ghost ring sights did wonderfully, this is about on par with the winning cards from last time, and ought to be repeatable.

Winning a plasterboard, card, or turkey shoot the first time is like hitting the jackpot on a slot machine. Luck. Let us know your win/loss record after a year. It's a fun game but unless you invest in some pricey barrels it ain't a paying game.

The two I shot in this weekend were both shooting at target cards at a fixed distance (50') about like these:

Whoever gets closest to the X wins.

1971 in the USAF in Crete, Greece, the Rod and Gun Club had shoots like this; $1 a shot, all used the same gun and factory 12 ga shells. Everyone had the same chance, winner was the "golden BB". I lost, but my 8 yr old daughter won a 20 lb turkey; I held the gun for the recoil, she sighted and pulled the trigger. Prlceless time!
