My Kershaw method at the moment, I usually carry my skyline but Nebraska doesn't allow carry of knives over 3 inches

My Kershaw method at the moment, I usually carry my skyline but Nebraska doesn't allow carry of knives over 3 inches

Regarding Nebraska knife law -
The plain language of the statute provides the three and one-half inch blade length limitation applies to any dagger, dirk, stiletto or knife. Accordingly, a knife, dagger, dirk or stiletto with a blade measuring less than three and on-half inches is not per se prohibited. Furthermore, the prohibition found at 28-1202 does not apply to a person with a concealed handgun permit.

Although Nebraska law provides an affirmative defense for a knife owner who is engaged in any lawful business, calling, or employment at the time he or she was carrying any weapon, the burden is on the knife owner to prove the affirmative defense at trial. A knife owner should not assume the risk that the affirmative defense will protect his or her right to carry concealed knife.

3" D2 steel, Benchmade Bone Collector with a wooden handle and a pocket clip. Stays on me unless I have a reason to take it off. Like airplanes or the courthouse. And it is too sharp to fool around trying to open it one handed like I could with the previous Alaska knives hunter.

Spyderco Delica 4 is my current daily carry. For my normal routine I normally only carry one.

So..RIGHT NOW...isnt like must days. Today I am high in a hard soft maple overlooking a dry slough on opening morning of Illinois firearms deer season.
Attached to the shoulder strap of my safety harness is my favorite hunting knife, my Buck 105. In addition to that, I gave a cheap Remington branded large liner lock clipped in my front strongside pocket for quick access. I bought a cheap knife for my folder because I knew I would likely lose it in the woods. Of course...ten years later...I still have it.
Cell signal not good enough here in the boonies to load pics.
There's a Gerber machete in the pack of my ATV ..1/2 mile away.

Last time I did that (used a cell phone in the stand) I looked up and two 8-Point Bucks were trying to figure out what I was from 25 yards away.

Lately a CRKT M16. Handy little thing, slim for fit in pocket. Easy to open when i need something sharp. Doesn't hold an edge like i'd prefer, but inexpensive enough that if I forget it somewhere, ah well. My last Kershaw fell apart and couldn't get warranty. Discontinued. Then Canada Customs started confiscating pretty much every folder that tried to cross the border. :(

Back to the #8 Opinel in a pouch on the belt. As capable as my Buck 110. But light enough to not make my pants try to fall down. Dang good belt knife if you ask me. Love the Buck except for the weight.

Plain sight tools fruit knife. G10 blade kydex no metal. I don’t need it at the moment but I need to get used to holding her close. So I can find her in the dark.

Dressed for the typical day I have the Coast that RC liked still, a SAK (Don'T know the model name but Vic with corkscrew , carry hook, marlin spike/punch on back, two blades, cap lifter, can opener, each with flat head screwdriver, scissors) and on my key ring is a mini Leatherman that sees use for its scissors and eye glass screw driver and occasionally box opening if do not want to scare folks with the Coast. The SAK is my normal loaner while I stand and watch 'em knife.

In my car and truck are cheap NRA liner locks that have a seat belt hook and the hooks are open and the knives in the driver side door pocket I have considered placing them in cloth pouches pinned to the seat so if I am in a roll over they will still be where expected. I have them mainly with the idea I might need them to assist in someone elses' wreck, yet again. Both for seat belt cutting and safety glass removal. (Never going bare handed through a shattered windshield again...hep shots are no fun and prospects scary)

Try the 110 Slim. It's less than thirty bucks, light and has a pocket clip. The downside is that it is not as heavy duty.

As I have written, it is pretty rare to catch me without a set of pliers. Even on the days that I refuse to work...I still need my pliers to remove a fishhook or pull a staple from a target.
Most workdays I carry a SAK in combination with a full blown pair of large slip joint pliers.
Today I did some odd jobs and went to the barbershop and tire shop in town. I opted for my Leatherman Wave in my front strongside pocket.

I have a cheap-o Camillus that I found for $3 on clearance at walmart a couple years ago. For as cheap as it was, it’s actually not a bad little knife. Since i work in an office, it suits just fine for whatever i need it for, and it saves my better blades.

Sunday, fun day. Bringing a substantial knife along with me today. Spartan blades Ares. Awesome knife, easy to carry, not huge but big enough to do what i need. While it isn't a cheap knife i use it as i would any other and it's held up very well.
Have fun and stay safe out there friends.
