A beauty, that's for sure.

What steel(s) is it made from? Did he do the damascus process, heat treating, etc.?

He does everything from making the Damascus to making micarta or stabilizing natural materials for his handles.

When he posts up a knife on Instagram or elsewhere they sell in about 30 minutes.

I thought I had seen some beautiful Damascus before.
What is involved with creating symmetrical patterns like that?

How is he making the damascus pattern?

Care to give us a ballpark idea on pricing?

This kid is outta the Knoxville area, and I'm here to tell ya....to own one that he built is like owning a dream. Idk how he does it,but his blades will rival anything I've seen.
I carry and use knives every day,and his are workhorses. As for prices, really depends on what you order. Def not gonna be walmart prices but not as steep as some custom makers.
The raccoon knives are Excellent all around knives and use it for everything

I love my raccoon knife

Balance is perfect, blade sharpens quickly k and holds an edge longer than I expected.
I cut boxes,wrapping,rope ,hides...you name it,and it's still a beast.
Really don't use the stone that much on it. Couple passes on the ceramics and its shaving sharp.

hso,

I know it's been a while, but that blade has such a beautiful pattern that I was curious if the knife has been completed yet?

If so, I'd love to see a photo(s) of it.

From your photo and those on his website, I have been seriously tempted to have him make me a knife.

Anyone else thinking *Jefferson Airplane* just now?

NO!!!! NOT Starship!

Depending upon the handle... Looks like it would be right at home in the glove-box of a "chartreuse Micro-Bus" or the waist band of some elephant-leg bell-bottom Levis.

I dig it and look forward to seeing the finished product.

Todd.

The clue is in the picture above you. He matches up four blocks from a bar he has made, then forges them together to make the pattern. I am impressed with his work!
