Which do you guys like better, I have narrowed down my search for a good semi .22 to these two. I personally like the look of the 64G better than the 64F, but I'd rather have a more reliable gun than a prettier one. They are both the same size, but the 64G is $230 as opposed to the 64F which is $140.

I think the only difference between these two is the stock. I am not sure that will affect reliability but it might affect weight if that is important. I personally like the wood stock.

Personally, I'd buy the 64F and see how I liked it. Then, if I decided I wanted a prettier stock, I'd order a Boyd's laminate. The price difference between the F and G is around $90, the Boyd's stock is $150 or so. So, should you decide you want a wood stock, you'd pay $60 more but get a FAR superior stock

I bought one a while back but had huge issues with the Magazine's wearing out very quickly. They were made from some kind of pot metal. Do a search on the mag issues.

Not the 64, but I own a Mark II and I will concur mags are definitely Savage's weak spot on their rimfire rifles.

I'm almost positive mine is a 64 bought it new for a great price because no one wanted a 22lr with a muzzle break
